Luna Dragneel awoke the next day and smiled big. She jumped out of bed and got dressed. She pulled on a light blue tank top and black shorts. She had her mother's whip on her belt. She tightened her combat boots. She ran a brush through her pink hair and smiled in the mirror. She grabbed her travel pack and pulled it onto her back.

She ran downstairs. Her father was standing at the bottom. He had his hands behind his back.

"First big job, huh?" Natsu said.

"Yeah", she said with a smile.

"I have a gift for you", he said.

"Yay!" Luna said.

Natsu pulled his arms out from behind his back. He was holding a necklace. It was a small blue gem on a silver chain.

"What is it?" she asked.

"It's a magic amulet. You can think of anywhere you want to go and be there. So if you want to come home you can", he said.

"You've gone soft, Pyro-freak", a voice came from behind them.

"Shut your pie hole, ice princess", Natsu shouted over his shoulder.

"Will you put it on?" Luna asked.

She moved her hair away from her neck. Natsu clipped on the necklace. Luna replaced her hair. She jumped up and hugged her father.

"I love you", she said.

"I love you too, Luna", he said.

They walked outside together. Storm was standing by his father, Gray. He was wearing a black, sleeveless shirt with a long neck under a green vest. He had a cross earring in his right ear. His blue eyes lit up when he saw Luna.

Lucy stood next to Juvia. They chatted cheerfully. Juvia had become much nicer since Gray married her. She stopped worrying about "love rivals". Both women smiled at the young girl.

"Ready?" Lucy asked.

"Ready", Luna said.

"See you soon", Lucy said.

"Bye Mom", Luna said hugging her mother.

Luna turned and ran to Storm's side. They walked to the train station. They boarded a train and sat looking out the window.

"What job did you pick?" Storm asked.

"We have to fix a rock slide", Luna explained.

"What's the reward?" Storm asked.

"120,000 jewel", Luna answered.

"Sweet", Storm smiled.

They rode in silence. Storm moved next to Luna. She fell asleep with her head on his shoulder. Storm woke Luna when the train had arrived. They were in a town at the base of Mount Hakobe. Luna held onto Storm's arm as they walked. They came to the customer's home. It was the mayor.

"Hello! Hello! Hello young wizards!" the mayor said in a lively and cheerful voice. "I am Mayor Dinglebatch."

Luna stifled a laugh.

"I am Luna Dragneel and this is Storm Fullbuster. We're here about the rock slide", Luna said.

"Good! Good!" the mayor sang. "The rocks are all over the town. They are in buildings and on buildings and sitting where buildings once were. We need them all gone."

"Okay", Storm said. "We'll handle this."

He got up and held out his arm to Luna. She took it and they walked out the door.

"How are we gonna do this?" Luna asked.

"I'll use my water slicer to cut up the rocks then you can move the rubble into a pile by the mountain with your wind", Storm said.

"Sounds like a good plan", Luna said.

"Let's go", Storm said.

He cut the rocks to a small dust with water. Luna moved the small bits to the edge of the mountain. The sun was going down and they were halfway done.

"Let's find somewhere to stay tonight", Storm said.

"Okay", Luna said.

They walked to a small inn towards the center of the town. They could only afford a small, one-bed room. They had to save money for food and a way home. They shared the one bed. Storm slept with his arm around Luna. She felt safe in his warm embrace.

The next morning they got back to work. They finished by noon. The mayor came to them.

"Wonderful work, young wizards!" he gushed.

"Thanks", Storm said.

"Thank you", I said.

He handed Storm a large brown sack.

"Here's the reward", the mayor said. "Use it well."

"Thank you", I said again.

Storm put the reward in Luna's bag. They got some food at a diner before heading to the train station. Storm fell asleep on the train. He had his head in Luna's lap and was stretched out on the seat. Luna fell asleep leaning against the window.

They woke up when the train stopped in Magnolia. Storm helped a drowsy Luna off the train. She rode on his back all the way back to her house. She was awake by then. She held on tight. Storm walked her to the front door. They split the reward. Luna was turning to go inside when Storm grabbed her and kissed her. He walked off into the night. Luna stood watching him walk away from her doorstep. He looked over his shoulder and winked. She smiled and went inside.
