Fiery Electricity

The next day the two were awoken by someone banging on Luna's bedroom door.

"LUNA!", Nash shouted.

Luna got out of bed and opened the door. Nash stood outside in a t-shirt and boxer shorts. He slid his hands into his pockets.

"What?" she asked.

"I forgot to give you your birthday present last night", he said. 

He pulled his right hand out of his pocket. He held a small silver chain with a small charm that looked to be a small flame. 

"I got you a bracelet", he said with a grin.

Luna's expression softened. She held out her wrist. Nash put the bracelet on for her. She looked at it and smiled.

"I love it", she said.

"I'd hoped you'd say that", Nash said. "I'm gonna go get dressed and then head over to Nova's."

"Alright", Luna said. 

He turned and walked to his room. Luna turned and went back into her room and shut the door behind her. Storm was sitting up in bed rubbing  his eye. 

"Morning", she said. 

"Morning", Storm said.

Luna walked to her closet and pulled open the door. She looked through her clothes. She pulled out a blue sleeveless top with yellow along the neckline, matching detached sleeves, and a pair of denim shorts with her brown boots. She got dressed in the closet and left her boots on the ground by the door.

"I kinda wanna go out on a job", Storm said. 

"Yeah?" Luna said.

"Want to head down to the guild and see what's on the board?"

"Sure."

Storm got up and pulled his shirt and shoes on. Luna pulled on her boots and ran a brush through her hair. She grabbed her belt with her mom's keys and whip on it and put it on. 

She walked out of the room with Storm behind her. They got downstairs without anyone see them come out of Luna's room together.  Luna grabbed an apple from the kitchen and headed outside with Storm. They walked to the guild hall together. They got there and headed inside to the request board.

I glanced through the requests. There was a drought problem for 50,000 J, missing animals for 30,000 J, and a criminal on the loose for 90,000 J. Silver was pulling requests off the board. I grabbed the one for 90,000 J. I read through some more and grabbed 2 more requests. We carried the requests over to the bar. We sat down and spread them out. There were about 7 requests. I read over Storm's choices: food supply disappearing, cattle problems, broken farm. 

"What about this one?" Luna said picking up the last request. 

"Missing food supply, Storm read. 

Luna read the rest,"Please come help! Our food supply is disappearing more and more each day. We have heard sounds at night but when we go out to find it, the thief is gone. Help up before our village starves."

"Let's do that one", Storm said. 

"Okay", Luna said. 

Storm pinned the rest of the requests back up on the board while Luna talked with Mira about the job. Storm came up next to her and listened in.

"Alright", Mira said. "You guys are good to go. Be safe."

"Thanks, Mira", Luna said.    

Mira walked away and Luna turned to Storm.
