I was hazily woken up by my alarm ring tone the next morning. Which happens to be Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding. This is just another magnitude of how terrible I'm failing at my daily reminder.

I turned my head backwards to find Cam still sound a sleep. His hands protectively wrapping me tight. It was as though I was another version of his bolster.

I gently pushed his arms away. Getting up to find some clothes in his wardrobe. I took an oversized jacket and his Adidas track pants, heading to shower.

After 15mins of getting ready, I tip toed over to Cam. Did I mention I wasn't like usual couples or movies where they kiss their boyfriend awake. I naturally started a full on pillow fight.

He bounced up, sitting on the bed due to reflexes.

"Wake up. School starts in half an hour." I laughed.

"Can I not." His voice husky and handsome as hell.

For a second there I almost bought it but I smartly responded "Okay, you go sleep then, I'll just drive your brand new Ferrari to school." Smirking from ear to ear.

He sprung up from his bed. "Go in the car and wait for me. I'll be done in 5min." He rushed into the shower.

I laughed my way out. I waited at the front porch. Seeing that Kevin's and Brooklyn's car is still here, they should also be going late. Heck, knowing Brooklyn, he'd ditch school all together.

Cam was down in exactly 5mins, he threw a pack of Oreos to me, and drove away to school. The whole way there, I was feeding me and him the pack of Oreos.

We reached school just in time before the school bell rang. We toke our seats in class, ready to start.

***

Classes were agonizingly long and boring. In between the mystery snores, eraser throwing fights, and detention giving, it was nothing out of the usual. The only thing that made class bearable was Brooklyn's entrance.

He came into class with messy hair and heavy eye bags. I don't even know why he came, since there was only 5 minutes left to lunch break.

"It's surprising to see you here." The teacher mocked.

Brooklyn ignored the teacher and went straight to his desk.

"Why are you..." Before the teacher could finish Brooklyn stopped her roughly.

"Yeah, yeah. I won't do it again." He waved to the teacher acting like it was no big deal.

And I'm quite sure the teacher gave up on him. She just continued the lesson. Kevin on the other hand, only made an appearance during lunch.

Cam, Brooklyn and I walked to our usual table where Kevin and Skylar were already eating. But I noticed there was a new addition to our table. From what I could tell from the back, she had sandy blonde hair and wore a beanie on her head.

"Get off." Brooklyn growled at her.

Her specs slipped slightly of her nose when she raised her head to take a look at him.

"Get away blondie, I don't have all day." He crossed his arms.

"Take a hike Brooklyn, she's with me." Skylar got up defending her.

"God, I can barely stand you, now some unknown girl?" He ran his fingers through his already messy hair.

"Oh shut up already, I don't see your stupid name carved on the damn chair." The girl replied Brooklyn angrily.

Me and Cam gasped in unison. No newbie ever dared to speak to Brooklyn like that.

"What did you say? Just for your information, my dad paid for this whole damn cafeteria. Sister." He stared down the new girl.

"So what?" She pronounced the letter T heavily. "My name is Victoria by the way."

"And I have no intention of telling you mine." Brooklyn said smugly.

"It doesn't matter. Cause I'll know all your name eventually, I'm running for student council president." She said proudly.

"I definitely know who I'm not voting for." He scoffed.

Before this verbal fight could get anymore heated, I pulled another chair from a nearby table, putting it behind Brooklyn.

Cam immediately helped to put out the fire by asking Brooklyn to sit down. "Skylar, is there a reason why you asked Victoria to sit with us?" He took a look at Victoria. "And welcome Victoria." He flashed a quick smile.

"She's one of us now." Skylar replied.

"In her dreams." Brooklyn started again.

"Well in that case I must be dreaming then." Victoria didn't back down.

"I rather Taylor sit here." He glanced at the cheerleaders table.

Yes. I silently cheered. At least part of my plan was working. Acknowledging Taylor was a first step to their budding relationship. Or at least that was what I thought.

"Oh. You and the head cheerleader would be a match in heaven. Given that you both have the same irritating personality." She rolled her eyes at him.

"Okay. Time out." Cam immediately shoved his chair in between them. Sitting in the middle.

I sat at the other side, exchanging looks with Kevin. We were definitely enjoying the show.

"You are never gonna become student council president." Brooklyn just couldn't let it go.

"What if I do?" Victoria challenged him.

"Then I'll buy you lunch every single day till you graduate. This is how confident I am." He tilted his head back, showing his muscular chest stretch under his shirt.

"In that case, I happen to love to every type of expensive food." She smiled sarcastically.

"Honey, you have no idea who you're talking to."
