Lizzy's P.O.V
"A creature's approaching the city!" The scout had said. A horse like animal ran towards the city.
Like the Griefs this animal looked starving. It was 6 ft tall not including the neck and head. It had what looked like chestnut picachu ears with one that was cut in half with a black crooked bone sticking out and a long donkey like tail. The four legged animal's kegs were long and 5.6 ft tall each. It's mouth was a cross between a horse's mouth and a beak. The bottom beak was curved and the creature was as nimble as could be. It was not a fighter but you could see that it cared for others. Jordyn, Kyla, Izy, and I ran towards the creature trying to calm it down. It acted much like a horse would. I had apples, strawberries, cherries, and a whole bunch of red fruits. We all sat down ate fruit, and quickly became friends. We decided to name the animal Dakota. Mickey ran over and accidentally scared the poor beast. She shrunk down and she looked like a baby form of the loveable Dakota. Mickey played with her and the two were instant best friends.Days past and one day Dakota and Mickey went missing. That day I awoke from a scream coming from the bathroom. Izy, Charlotte, Kyla and I ran to where the sound was coming from to find Jordyn. Only with a pair of small horns, black dog ears, a black pair of what looked like dragon wings, and a black poofy wolf tail. A dog tail wouldn't be that fluffy.
"Look at this! What are these? Horns? Ears? Wings? And a tail? Why?" Jordyn exclaimed.
"Oh...... Well that is surely interesting. It transfered from your father. The horns and wings at least. I have no idea about the ears and tail."
"Wow." Kyla responded. All of our stomachs growled from the lack of food . After breakfast training begun once again.Training ended before dinner due to a stranger in the outskirts of the city around lunch time.
"I'll check it out. Probably just some kid that wandered off gtom home." Jordyn offered. She seemed like she knew eho it was. Jordyn almost seemed worried. We split up in the search for Dakota and Mickey. I went off fifteen miles from the city to find the two. If you saw one the other wasn't far behind.
I heard a mix between a growl and a horse's neigh. I instantly knew it was from Dakota. I ran towards the noise to find Dakota fighting a grief. Or about to at least. Worry filled my emotions. I saw the brown haired kid I'd been searching for clutching on to one of Dakota's hind legs.
"Dakota! MICKEY!!!!" I screamed trying to be as calm as I could. Dakota shot me a "stay put" look. She used the hook on the end of her mouth to grab Mikey's shirt to fly him over my way. I was scared that I couldn't catch him in time when water caught him in the form of a hand. I lowered the water and hugged the boy to try to get him to stop crying when I realized I was also crying.
The fight between the grief and Dakota continued. Dakota's barely won but at a cost. Scratches covered her fur.
"We have to get her to Zachary!" I exclaimed. I carried her by water the entire way to the city. Afterwards Dakota was healed and both Mickey and I were overjoyed hugging Zachary and transforming him into his green lizard.
"You guys suck." Zachary said glaring at the two of us.
