Brylee's ex Rhys hadn't been leaving her alone lately. Rhys was a cheater and a jerk, but he claimed Brylee was the only girl for him which she knew was a lie. She just wanted him to leave her alone. Unfortunately he wasn't doing that. The guy was persistent, so she came up with a plan to get him off her back.

Bennett was behind the counter at Topanga's, working a shift after school one day. It was a quiet afternoon and no customers had come in, until the bell jingled and a blonde girl walked through the door. Bennett raised his eyebrows slightly at seeing Brylee. It wasn't uncommon to see her at Topanga's after school, but he was confused and a bit concerned at seeing the distressed look on her face. He wasn't used to seeing her upset like this. She usually had a smile on her face.

He leans his arms against the counter. "What's up, Bry?"

She walks over and sits down at a stool, resting her arms against the counter. "Nothing new. Rhys is bothering me again."

"He hasn't given up yet?" Bennett sighed.

"He hasn't," She shakes her head and groans, leaning her head on her arms. "He's literally so annoying. Why can't he just take the hint that I'm done with him?"

"Some guys are just stupid." Bennett replies. "And I'm pretty sure that guy doesn't have a brain. He's so dumb."

"That's why we broke up," She said, her voice muffled by her arms. "I have a plan, though."

Bennett raises an eyebrow. "Do I even want to know?"

"I was thinking about asking someone to be my fake boyfriend," She told him.

"Yeah, I didn't want to know that." Bennett remarks. "Why would you ask some random guy to be your fake boyfriend? That's a terrible idea."

"Well, I'm not going to ask a random guy. I'm asking you," She explains, lifting her head from her arms and smiling.

Bennett stares at her for a moment, then bursts into laughter. "You're real funny." Then he stops laughing after seeing the serious looks on her face. "Wait, you're serious? You're not joking, are you?"
