The pounding in my head grew as I opened my eyes. The sun was beating down and heat waves rose up from the sand. Gingerly I sat up, taking in my surroundings. Desert. All I could see for miles was sand. I turned slightly to look in the other directions, all I could see was vast open area covered in the stuff. Matted in my hair and even in my shoes was sand.

I noticed for the first time that there was no wind, and definately no water. Water. It was then that I realised how thirsty I was. Where am I and how on earth did I get here, these questions kept repeating in mind. My head was spinning from dehydration, I started walking. I stopped running and collapsed onto my knees. Then a figure was staring down at me. He looked to be arround my age with raven black hair and pale skin. But his eyes were what got my attention, They were black with bright flecks of gold like I had never seen before. I'm hallucinating. I turned my head back towards the advancing cloud, almost to close to breath. I looked back towards the misterious figure- "Take my hand" He said, extending his hand towards mine...
