Chapter seven:

Hey guys! Thanks so much for reading up to now :) I hope you like this chapter :P

 Violet's POV:

The Future. That's where I'm going- but that, I suppose is where we're all going. Of course, I'm not talking about seconds into the future- I'm talking Years. And up until a few seconds ago, If you had of even mentioned going into the future, I would have denied it possible. Now however, I'm not so sure.

I watched as the blurred image appeared in front of me. My supposed portal to the future. I turned on my toes, sand falling away at the movement. I now faced Jack, who looked back at me expectantly. "So you want me to step through that thing?" I know what I sound like but there is no way I should be expected to believe this or step through some strange grey 'portal', or as I call it, blob. Which does not look safe I might add.

Jack just nodded in reply, giving me a small shove forward. I muttered grumpily under my breath while straightening out my hair and clothes. "Okay, say I believe you. What will happen when I step through that thing?" I asked, a slight angry hint to my tone.

Jack threw me a look before coming over to stand beside me. Jack's eyes were squinted slightly, a pout played on his lips. Is it strange that he looked strangely cute when he was frustrated? Woah, okay. Losing train of thought here...

"Once you get through, no one should be able to see you or hear you apart from me. I don't know where we'll be left off, I'm just taking you through it." Jack said, answering with a sigh. Why does that answer not comfort me? Oh yeah, we could be 'dropped off' anywhere, see anything and meet anyone. Of course that doesn't comfort me!

One question reamained however. All traces of anger left me, replaced with nerves. "Jack." This caused Jack to look at me, the pout leaving his features. I continued, "Do you know my future?"

I held my breath in anticipation, feeling rather dizzy. Jack turned back towards the portal before answering, "No, no one does." He grabbed my hand and led me up to the portal.

Sorry it's so short! But I didn't have a lot of time this week and I was concious that I needed to post something :) So in the next chapter it will be longer and she will go into the future. Believe me, I know cliffhangers are very annoying but as I said I didn't have much time. So please comment to tell me what you think ...
