JADE After fainting:
A light called out to me as I wandered in a pool of darkness.
As I swam my way to it, I felt a force pulling me back into oblivion. I see flashes of images
I see Diamond calling out to me on a horse,
Feeling the searing pain of something hot on my wound
I feel the gallop of a horse
I see glimpses of three women and cry out in pain as they give me potions and herbs. A big green fire calls Out to me.
"Hello?" I say to the fire.
"She is in danger...." It hissed
"Who?... Diamond?" I asked.
"You must save her," it says in a whisper.
"How?!?? How do I save her!" I beg desperately.
"You will find the strength," it says.
The fire blows out. Then nothing... I hear my voice starting to come into focus.
"No! We mustn't think like that!... they are both fine"
"You're right...but what can we do? Diamond will have to marry that monster unless we find a way to stop him..."
It was Daisy and Ludith. I was angered the thought of that monster with Diamond
"Over my dead body," I grunted Jade as I slowly sat up on the makeshift cot.
"Jade, please be careful you mustn't sit up to fast" cried out Daisy.
I clutched my bandage.
"I must get to her!" I say trying not to focus on the pain.
"You are in no condition to do anything! Besides... Sir Rodrick would have you cut down before you could reach her" says Daisy concerned.
They were right... I looked around the room and noticed where we were.
"Ludith is this a medicine hut?" I asked
"Yes, Miss it is" he replied.
One of the women from my dream entered the room.
"Take these and rest" she commanded handing me herbs.
I grab her arm desperately.
"Please... I can't rest I need to save her" I begged.
She grabbed my hand gently.
"I'm sorry but it's impossible." She said sadly.
"No.." I began to tear up. "Please she needs me!... and I need her..." I say tearfully.
She sighed. "Wait here," she said.
We heard arguments in the next room but it was in languages I did not understand. Finally, the women appeared from the room. One held an elixir and the other was next to her with herbs. The last one stayed back with her arms folded. No doubt she's the one who scolded them earlier.
"If you do this, you may never fully recover from your wounds now..." said the one with the herbs.
"This will give you strength," said the one with the elixir.
"And this will heal you when you're done... But it will only do so much" said the one with the herbs.
"Jade please don't do this" begged Daisy.
I grabbed her hands as Ludith grabbed her shoulder.
" I must..." I say as tears roll down my face.
She signed and looked over to the woman.
"Okay..." she sighed.
They gave Daisy the herbs and Ludith took Daisy out of the room. The one on the way back came forward.
"For the elixir to work, you must pull from what gives you the strength to go on. But if you draw too much from it..." she looked at the other women and they all turned to look at me.
I thought of Diamond and how our love gives me strength every day.
"I ready" I nod to the women. They gave me the elixir and darkness again...
