From the six hour flight to the car ride from the airport to their new house was silent.The only thing Alexis could hear wear her own thoughts as she scanned her new surroundings.

The people here all looked straight out of teen people magazine, with their bikinis, tan skin and their volleyballs .She would have loved moving to a small town beach if it wasn't for the circumstances.

The car pulled to a stop in front of a house on the far left only two houses next to it."Woah"Alexis breathed out.

She could hear her dad chuckling from the driver seat."This is it kiddo, our new home."Her smile faltered a bit.Home.

Alexis stepped out of the vehicle and headed inside.It was even more beautiful.She quickly ran upstairs to pick a room.

She stopped at a room with cofee cream walls and a balcony.A double bed stayed in the middle and it was simply mesmerizing.Oh she was definately picking this one.She hopped on the bed and pulled out her cellphone calling her best confidant.

"Ronald Reagan reporting for duty."An obviously fake tone came across making Alexis grin into the phone."Now I wish I had a president's name"Alexis fake gasped.

"Okay Miss.Humour,how's Cali?"
"Well, I haven't seen much but judging by my new house, pretty dope"She replied staring around the room once more."Like 1-2 dope or like nah that shit's dope!"Her best friend giggled.

"Definately the second one Reagan,it's just like a giant beach city"She flipped her body on the bed smiling at the ceiling."Lexi honey, you literally are living in California, have some fun,meet some guys!"Reagan made sure to emphasise the last part knowing how her best friend can be.

"But I miss you Re."

"I miss you too"She heard loud talking from somwhere downstairs and groaned."I really would love to talk forever but I have to make sure Barbie and Ken don't kill each other"She hung up and shoved her phone in her  back pocket.

She prepared herself to head  down stairs but stopped at the top step hearing her parents arguing cease a bit."So now that were neigbours with your two long time friends what's next."Sasha asked her husband,her tone laced with fake happiness as she pointed at the man to drop the box at a nearby table.

"Well,I'm going to start work as soon as I can and I'm going to find a wonderful school,where our daughter could continue her education and make some friends"Sasha stared at her husband and huffed.

Alexis decided to join in on the conversation before a war waged between her parents."I'm going to go explore see what's going on around here, is that okay?"

Her dad placed his hand on his hip and licked his lower lip"Yeah that's great, have fun sweetie"

She nodded and headed out the door, almost crashing into someone the moment she let loose of her hold on the front door.

"Oh my God, are you okay?"The person did a one-over on her."Um,I live 2 doors over.I'm Marissa."

She stared at her neighbour in mere confusion."Thanks Marissa,I'm Alexis"Silence consumed the two girls for a while with them just blinking at each other."Well your probably wondering why I am here."

"Yeah, my dad is friends with yours,he couldn't stop talking about how his going to see his best friend again and this is gonna sound a little wierd but I was wondering if you wanted to model for a fashion show."The blonde girl probably sensed the girl's confusion."It's for charity!"She quickly added.

"I'd love too but I don't have a dress or anything"Alexis chuckled looking at her hands.

"Well your in luck, I was going to the mall but if you don't wanna..."Marissa dragged her words dramatically.
