double update cause that chapter was way too short.

from outside the store, Luke and the guy seemed to be exchanging words and Luke was furious, whereas the guy was just cool.
"I think I should go in there," I say, pushing my way past them. "where's my frappe?" Michael asked, all of us turned to him in disappointment.
I dragged Ashton along, as he's sort of the 'adult' among all of us. Ashton broke up the fight, and we proceeded to the car to head home, no one was in the mood to do anything.
"Luke are you okay?" I mouth, and he nods in reply. grabbing his hand, I gave it a light squeeze to let him know that I'm there for him and that I'm thankful of his protectiveness. That's what a friend should be.
a friend is there to love, care, to trust, have fun and last of all, to protect.
We made our way back to the boys' place in silence. Since the guys weren't consuming much healthy food, I decided to make some food out of what I have in the pantry.
-
quickly stirring up a meal, I served it to them and they ate hungrily, like they've never eaten in a hundred years.
"thanks for the Mac and cheese, it was the best I had so far," Luke says, placing the dishes in the sink. He stays for a while, lingering here and there.
"what do you wanna say Luke?" I observe the way Luke thinks as he walks around.
"I'm sorry I got pissed off, but I was really angry! that guy touched your butt and he has no right to," he huffed, and folded his arms.
looking at Luke reminds me of the baby I was when i used to throw my temper. I giggle a little, before saying, "Luke it's okay, and thank you, really." i wiped my hands on my trousers and gave him a hug.
Luke's really tall, so I had to go on my tiptoes, stretching them to the extreme. I held his hand, gazing into his crystal clear eyes. "Luke, thank you, I love you," I say, holding him close.
"I love you too valentine," he blubbered out, leaving himself speechless and redness started to appear on his cheeks.
I chuckle at his embarrassment, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "don't worry about anything, I'm fine and not bothered about it, it's okay," I assured him before he left the kitchen.
the boys were watching a movie, Pitch Perfect, to be exact. "id never in a hundred years think that you guys would watch this show," i say, biting down on a strawberry. "we do lots of things you're unaware of," Michael smirks and the boys' look at him, disgusted. he fought back in annoyance, as I laugh at the boys' silliness.
"Valentine?" Calum calls and snaps me out of my trance. "yeah?" I reply, in a flat tone, sitting up.
he clears his throat before muttering really fast. "Luke wants you in the backyard." with that, he left, leaving me in the total silence.
I made my way towards the backyard, the wooden floor's hollow sound follow along with each step I take.
My eyes scanned the area and found the lanky boy seated at the table staring into the night sky filled with gazillions of lighted stars, underneath the tree.
"hey," I say, taking a seat. he replied with the same greeting.
"what do you want me here for?" I ask, curious. he took a deep breath, looking directly into my eyes. "I have to tell you something," he says, and my heart skips a beat. my hands started to get clammy and I was on the edge of my seat. was this the moment I've been waiting for since I was a freshman?
"I am too protective of you am I?" he says, and my warmth of excitement and joy dies down. "no you arent," I speak in disappointment, frowning.
he stares at me, wondering why I'm so disappointed. I excused myself, running to the bathroom to cry.
I broke down, crying and whimpering softly. why was I such a fool? would Luke like me? no.
why? I'm Valentine Giraldo for goodness sake. the girl who was always bullied and thinks she's never good enough. so many years, I'm still such a fool.
a fool for Luke.
