6 • Best Friends Forever

"H-huh?"

"Huh?" I cleared my throat. "I said you don't consider me as your friend? How dare you call me  "bff" but you don't consider me as your friend?" I asked

" Wow nagiging rapper ang beshie niyo. " Huh?

" Ehh? "

" I didn't expect that you can be this talkative, Miss Clamonte. " She got two forks, she handed me one and one for herself. " I thought you don't want me as your friend so I didn't expect for more. People never like me. " she then starts eating her cheese cake.

I feel her. I never had a friend. Most of my co-student see me as the perfect teenager but they don't know how much I envy them for having a big circle of friends, for having a loving parents who always have time for them.

I stand up and looked at her. She raised her head and look at me, confused.

"Are you done? You haven't touched your cake ehh?"

"Stand up, Gaia." and she did.

I handed her my hand, asking for a hand shake and she accepted my hand.

"Best friends?" I asked.

Her eyes were shining like glitters.

"Ackkk! Omg! Yes, yes! Bff forever, bff ko!!" she then pulled me closer and hugged me.

I never thought having a friend can be this fun. It feels like I have a sister at the same time.

"For fucks sake, Gaia! Faster! We'll be late for school!" I hurried her up because she walk and do her things like a fucking snail.

"Ito na! Nagmamadali ka dyan. It's your fault na late na ako kumilos. You kept on telling me na it's still maaga kaya." she then rolled her eyes on me.

" How daw you roll your eyes on me. "

" Shut the hell up, Rai! You're so maingay ghad! " at pumasok na siya sa banyo to take a bath.

We only have 30 minutes before our first period and here she is with her pagong moves.

"Kuya Roni! Can you drive faster po? We are 5 minutes late na po." I said, a bit anxious.

"Hey it's okay duh. We don't have any quizzes nor recitations today so it'll be fine." Sabi ng katabi ko while using her phone.

Ugh this girl. I can't believe I asked her to be my friend hours ago.

"Shut the hell up, Britzy!"

"You shut up, Clamonte." And she roll her eyes on me again.

And yes here we are, walking inside the campus an hour late. I've decided that I will go to the faculty first before I go to my second subject to inform my first period teacher what happened.

"Good morning, Ms. Clamonte. What's with you being here this early and hey I didn't see you kanina in my class." Ms. Elyzra said as soon as she saw me.

"Good morning, Ms. Elyzra and I'm sorry I didn't make it to your class. I'm late so can I at least have a copy of your lesson earlier po? I'm really sorry po talaga." You can tell in my voice that I'm really hoping that she will give me one because I'd die for it.
