After accepting that they had lost the chance they had on stopping the skeleton army, the team of four moved their focus on going after Kai and Sensei Wu.

The Fire Temple stood tall above the colored teens as they raced up towards the closed wooden doors, eyes scanning their surroundings for their friend and mentor

"Kai!" Cole raises his hands to his mouth, cupping them to try and make his voice travel further and louder, "Sensei!"

"Where are they?" A mutter passes Alyssa's lips, the girl worryingly bitting down on the skin of her inner cheek.

Zane was the next to speak, his eyes downcast. "The Sword of Fire was here, as well as our friends, but I only sense loss." He lifts his head to stare each of his friends in the eye with a frown, "We are too late. The Elemental Weapons have left this realm and are now in the Underworld. The end is drawing near."

Groaning, Cole throws his head back, "Ugh... great. The one place no mortal can cross over."

Making all of them jump and turn their attention to the closed doors of the Temple was a familiar voice that echoes out to them, "We might not be able to cross over..."

Everyone steps back in awe as the doors slowly open to reveal Kai, along with Nya and the Fire Dragon standing tall proudly, "But a dragon can."

A scream from Cole scares the living daylights out of the group next to him, the ravenette jumping to hide behind one of the pillars of the Temple, his whole frame shaking.

"Our father used to tell us stories about the dragons, that they were mystical creatures that belong to both worlds and ferried between them." Nya smiles softly up at the orange and red dragon.

A nervous chuckle leaves Cole, "Are you insane?!" He whispers harshly at her, his eyes stuck on the towering beast in front of them all.

"Come on, Cole." Alyssa grins teasingly towards the Earth elemental, a breathy laugh escaping her lungs, "Look at him! How can you be scared of such a cutie!"

"That cutie could eat you whole!" Cole fires back quickly, hugging the pillar closer towards his chest, his eyes locked on Alyssa as if she was crazy.

Kai rolls his eyes and looks towards the dragon, "Once he realised we were trying to protect the Sword of Fire, he actually became quite a softie." As if understanding his words, the dragon nudges the brunette with its snout, making him and Nya laugh. "Knock it off."

A choking sort of noise gains everyone's attention, which turned out to be Jay trying to say something through his bruised throat. He ends up wincing in the end and coughing into his hand.

"He cannot talk, but he wants to know if you like blue." Zane translates for the Blue ninja, who had directed the question towards the girl dressed in red.

Nya smiles politely towards Jay, "It's my favorite color."

With a groan and a small fist pump, Jay mutters out a small, "Yes." in celebration.

Kai shakes his head in annoyance before sighing, realising that he would be leaving his sister once again. "Nya..."

Nya turns to face her brother, a frown on her lips. "This is goodbye, isn't it?" She asks quietly, only receiving a small nod from Kai. "Come back to me in one piece, okay? I don't wanna have to run the store on my own."

"I promise I won't be gone for long." Kai places a comforting hand on Nya's shoulder, the younger girl smiling bittersweetly.

"I'll keep a candle lit outside our shop until you return." The short haired girl pats her brother's hand that sat on her shoulder, praying that he and the others returned to her safely.
