It was the day of the party, the party started at eleven at night and ended at five in the morning. Her parents let her go because her brother was going to the party too and so was Kristen. "As long as you're going with Zach. You know how we feel about those high school kids." Her mom said. Her dad was quietly weeping in the corner because she was going to the party with an eleventh grader. "Stay safe Jackie, I love you." Her father said, weepingly. "It's okay Greg." Her mom was hugging him. So, Jackie left the room. It was eight o' clock at night. Kristen was coming to her house at nine and David was picking up Jackie, Kristen, and Zach at ten thirty. So she had an hour to kill. Before she started doing anything, she had to go talk to her grandma. "Hi abuelita." Jackie said. But don't get yourself into anything that you don't want to do, like what happened with me and grandfather." Jackie's grandfather was married to her abuela but made her pregnant when she wasn't ready for a baby and then out came her mom. She wouldn't change her baby for the world. They ended up getting a divorce and a few years ago, they got the news. Grandpa had passed away from lung cancer. He was a smoker for many years and he ended up dying from it. It was tragic. "I won't. What are you watching?" Jackie said. She knew what she was watching but Jackie still asked. "Mi novelas. This one is about Juan found Maria cheating on him with Jose and now Juan is killing Jose. Real drama." When her grandma said "real drama" you could tell she was being sarcastic, but she still loved the novelas. Jackie was watching the novela and slowly, her vision started fading and she went off to sleep...
