"So tell me, what's going on?" Zach was still curious. "Well Jackie? You wanna tell him?" Kristen said while Jackie sat still, tears rolling down her cheeks. Only Kristen knew what could possibly be going through Jackie's head and she knew that it wasn't good so she said "Jackie, it's okay. She'll be fine. Everything will be back to normal after this. I know this night isn't like how you expected it to be but I promise that you'll look back to this night and laugh." Jackie finally responded after a moment of silence "She was my best friend. She was the person who I told everything to. I told her more than you know Kristen! I was her little girl and she was my abuela. My grandma who I will never let go." Zach was still confused "WHAT? What happened to grandma?" "She got sick again and she started coughing blood. Jackie doesn't want her to die. No one does. She was a wonderful lady that deserves to live." Kristen said. "Okay but now why did you guys leave me?" "David was being an ass to Jackie and we wanted him to leave us alone so he was supposed to go back to the party after he dropped us off but then we saw ambulances. That's the story." Kristen was still explaining for Jackie. "David why the hell were you being an ass to my little sister?" Zach was super defensive too. "Listen, it wasn't my fault. I'll tell you later and Jackie I already told you how sorry I was. I don't want to ruin all of our friendships. Please, forget about it right now. We have bigger things on our hands."
They arrived to the hospital where grandma was and rushed in. "Marcella Sanchez?" Zach asked. "Are you all family?" The lady at the front desk asked. "All of us but him, he's a family friend." Kristen added. "Okay, sorry but you can't go in." "Okay that's understandable." You could tell he was getting annoyed. "Why'd you do that? You're not family either." Jackie said. "Listen, we don't need a jerk like him in a room with your dying grandma." Kristen said back. "She's not dying..." Jackie mumbled. "Well that's what you keep on saying! Then why don't you calm down a bit? I always have to do everything for you!" Kristen was angry now. "I don't need this right now Kristen! And you don't do EVERYTHING for me! You're doing what a best friend is supposed to be doing! That's what you're doing!" Jackie was finally talking. "I always talk for you! You need to learn to speak for yourself because I'm not always going to be here for you, you need to learn that." Kristen calmed down a bit. "Guys, stop fighting, everyone can hear you." Zach said. "WE'RE NOT FIGHTING!!" Jackie and Kristen yelled. They were now at grandma's room. They knocked on the door even though they knew they could just walk in. "Grandma?"
