Jughead laid his head down on Archie's shoulder.

"It's gonna be okay, Jughead," Archie mumbled. "You don't have to be worried about this."

"I know," he said, tears pricking his eyes. "But I am."

Archie turned to face him and put his hands on his shoulders. "Jughead, please look at me."

Jughead obliged, the tears becoming more prevalent.

"I know that you're worried about not knowing where you need to be for school but everything is going to be okay."

Jughead wiped his eyes on his sleeves. "I know. But I really can't help it."

Archie pulled him into a hug. "It's gonna be okay."

They sat quietly for a couple minutes, waiting for Jughead to calm down a little bit. His sniffles filled the room. Archie felt a little damp spot forming on his shoulder.

"Do you want to get to school early so you can check with the academic counselor?"

Jughead wiped his nose again. "Yes, please."

Archie nodded and smiled. They continued to sit in a hug. "I can walk you to your classes too."

Jughead nodded, burying his face into Archie's chest. He took deep breaths. It took him a couple minutes but once his breathing was normal and he no longer felt like he was actually gonna keel over at any moment.

"See," Archie said, smiling at him. "School is going to be so fun. And I'm going to make sure you're okay tomorrow, okay?"

"Thank you, Archie," Jughead breathed. He smiled too. It was really going to be okay.
