Dual bending (Male reader x Avatar the last air bender)

~one year later~

A year has passed and ive been advacing quickly.During the year I had studied and trainded. To my suprise I was decent at stadagy making and have to learn a bit more about it. Azula on the other hand bragged about being well versed in stradegy making

I have been training for when i can use the black flame in secret so far i have the form down however im missing the flame itself

Y/n:I wonder if I can change my flames yet

I was stuck in my head and bumped into someone as we were falling I grabbed the person and turned so that way ill be a sheild of sorts

Y/n:Are you okay?

As I looked at who was in my arms I saw that I had taken azula down with me

Y/n:Sorry about that azula

Azula:Well you made youself useful as a sheild so you are forgiven

Y/n:Oh im so glad.(I said sarcasticlly)

Azula:Was that sacasm

Y/n:Suprised you know what that is

Azula:Dont push it Y/n however  I am pleased to run into you

Y/n:Why is that?

Azula:I want to duel you.

Y/n:You sure about that?

Azula:Yes now if you are done questioning me lets meet in the traing room

Y/n:Let me grab iroh to referee the match

Azula:This is a friendly match so no need for an referee

She then started to leave and I follwed after her

Y/n:Any reason why you wanted to figth me.

Azula:A year has passed since my first loss to you and I wish to see if you are still stronger than me

Y/n:I wont be going all out

Azula:Do as you want however dont be upset once I win

Y/n:I take that back definently going to try

I could see her smile and was a bit shocked and I ended up smiling. We made our way to the training hall and I went to the changing room and  changed into my sparring attire

Y/n:Ready when you are.

Azula:Y/n I will win against you

Y/n:Keep telling yourself that  when i win i think ill be the new favorite

Azula:You keep telling yourself that

We both waited for the first person to make a move.She shot out a fireball that I disperesed thanks to my training with iroh she used that as an opertunity to get closer to me and went for a kick,I saw an oppertunity and dropped down for a leg sweep. She started to fall but sprug back up she went for a punch I relized that I wouldnt have to much time and moved to the side.

Azula:Get serious y/n

Y/n:Same can be said for you azula

I saw that she had a look of determination on her face and then decided to honor her request

Y/n:Are you sure that you want me to get serious 

Azula:I can handle it y/n

Y/n:Fine

I switched my stance to the one that I had taken during our first match.However I changed a few things to make it a bit more effective for me

Y/n:Brings back memories

Azula:Shall we start or are you going to remince over your one win against me?

I turned to her and still in my stance foucsed the flames to my legs.

Y/n:Dont get upset

I pushed off and was almost flying.She copied me and we were both moving twoards one another at a quick speed.I was about to redirect her until i saw that she was about to go for a sweep. I waited and incresaed the flames and started to move at a quicker speed and moved to the side of her and knocked her off center.

Azula:What did you do?

Y/n:Train didnt you?

Azula got fustrated and jetted twoards me and went for a kick I redirected her. I felt my hands feel the heat and moved them away as soon as I moved her out the way. She got back up started to shoot more fire at me

Y/n:Try a bit harder

Azula:Shut up

I saw that she had had gotten closer to me and I was about to go for a punch but she hit my leg and I fell. I grasped the fact that she had manged to get a hit on me and got up. I shot up and then started to cover my legs in flames and started to spin quickly and jumped and aimed for the area next to her. I saw the effect that it had on the area and was shocked that it had caused a dent in the ground.I calmed down and rembered the fact that I am in control of me.

Y/n:Sorry about that lost my cool for a second. Also nice kick you got me this time

Azula:I'm not the same person I was a year ago y/n

Y/n:I can see that now.

I focused on my breathing and took in the room and thougth about how to be handle her. I thougth about the experimental move I had told Iroh about and decided that now was a good time to test it out. I used my flames and ran faster and went to one wall to another and then jumped up and then my body stopped moving. I then fell on top of her and relized that we both were in akward situation.She tried to catch me and in doing so ended up falling with me i had enogh strength to shift myslef to fall the ground first

Y/n:Azula are you okay?

Azula:I'm fine just wondering what that move was it was insanly fast

Y/n:An experiment of sorts iroh helped me figure out the basics and i had to work on putting it all together

Azula:You are amazing y/n

Y/n:Did you just compliment me are you okay?

Azula:Im fine and stop being foolish I was giving you a compliment

Y/n:Thanks zuko would never belive me if i told him that you complimented me

Azula smiled and got up

Azula:I'll call this duel a draw next time polish up that move of yours

Y/n:I will and thank you for the match

Azula:It was no problem besides you always impress me so i normally enjoy out matches

Y/n:Honestly your the only person who probaly is on my level the others in the academy are just no fun. So thanks again azula

Azula smiled and stopped and left the room quickly

My heart was beating quicly and loudly
