"Alright Glee club," Mr Schue claps his hands together, beaming, "For this week's assignment you're all going to be paired up in partners to work on... drumroll please... a love song!"
Cheers and mutters sound around the room.
"Excuse me Mr-"
"No Rachel, you can't pick Finn as your partner. Actually, I will be pulling names out of my hat to see who is your partner...And you can't change partners !!" Mr Schue explains
Rachel huffs and sulks back into her seat, Finn nervously patting her shoulder but rolling his eyes at her tantrum.
"First out of my hat..." He rummages ruthlessly through the folded names, his eyes shut, "Quinn and Sam"
They exchange an excited glance at each other.
Mr Schuester continues taking names out of the hat and people become partnered up. There's only 4 people left, that's 2 pairs.
"Next we have... Rachel and... Puck"
She shoots an evil look his way. Her fist clench and knuckles turn white. This means...
Me and Finn look at each other nervously feeling Rachel's glare. This could not be worse, Rachel will definitely hate me now.
Kurt smirks at me from across the room and Mercedes giggles.
Rachel, once again, storms out the room.
Finn walks over to me, "Sorry about her. Uhm, you can come over to my house on Tuesday to practice if you like?"
I stand there not saying a word, captivated by his eyes. Snapping back into reality i say, "Yeah totally. I'll see you there i guess."
Mercedes and Kurt come over,
"Oh my god did you see the look on Rachel's face when you and Fin got partnered?" Kurt laughed, "This could not be any better!"
"Yeah she's totally not gonna like you after this, don't worry though because we all like you better than her" Mercedes rests her arm around me.
"I don't know.. Finn invited me over and i don't want to start any-"
They both laugh "Yeah, she won't like that."
Mercedes is called over by Quinn and Santana (turns out she is the one who shoved me on my second day)
Kurt looks at me, "If Finn didn't want to partner with you, he wouldn't have. And he especially wouldn't invite you over to his house. He knows how to convince Mr Schue out of something. Take that how you want to but I sense he's getting bored of her."
He walks off and I stand there alone, conflicted.
