SUGGESTING THE IDEA for him to drive us all there, which I wanted to argue against because of my car. He simply promised it would be 'taken care of.' Whatever that means, even though I still didn't like the idea. I agreed to it. Which brings us to the now, I was presently sat buckled up in the front seat of one of his many cars.

Alaya was buckled up securely in the back, while Tony sat in the front. His eyes glued to the road, not minding the piece of hair that fell slightly in his line of view. One arm rested, as the other handled the wheel with a sense of ease. If I wasn't watching as hard as I was, I might would have missed the subtle smile that played on his lips as he navigated through traffic. But I definitely wouldn't have missed whether or not I was paying attention, the way his fingers tapped lightly on the steering wheel to the beat of the music playing softly in the background.

While continuously checking the top mirror at Alaya, who merely seemed to be in her own little world, rocking her head from side to side as she voiced along to some of the lyrics. The scene was cute-so cute that any feeling of irritation left. But only momentarily. Once we get to the grocery store, the real challenge begins with trying to keep up with the two.

Not even a full two minutes after parking, Alaya grabbed Tony's hand as soon as she got out of the car and began skipping towards the store entrance, dragging Tony along with her. "Wow... okay. Yeah, no, just leave Mommy behind. It's fine; I'll just be here," I muttered under my breath, half-jokingly. Taking my time to find them after getting a cart, I did a little shopping before going to look for them.
