"Once upon a time, there was a guitarist and musician who had a sweet voice, and from the sweetness of his voice, animals and birds followed him, and trees and stones moved for him.
He is Orpheus, the tormented lover...

His mother was the goddess of singing, and it is said that his father is the great Apollo, who loved his son and gifted him with excitement to play the sweet bar that excites souls

And Orpheus traveled on a legendary journey to search for the golden scalp, and after his return, the love of his life, the beautiful Orydius, was waiting for him, the nymph of the forest, in which he fell in love, and she melted in his love to the core

But the happiness of the two lovers did not last long, as evil was hovering around them, represented by Aristaeus, his brother to Orpheus, who wanted to deprive his brother of his wife to taste the bitterness of separation, so he sent her a snake to rob her of her soul

Orpheus learned of the loss of his beloved, and the dagger of separation was planted in his heart, so he decided to follow her to the underworld while he was alive...
But how is the way to convince old Sharon, because he will not make him cross the River Istex?

Orpheus' problems did not end, but rather worsened
He had to cross a door plowed by Serpius, a three-headed dog that no one dared approach.
His resolve of the bereaved lover would have faded had it not been for his insistence, so he remembered his excitement and started playing the sad bar until the guard calmed down and crossed into the underworld

Orpheus moved among ghosts and broken souls, until he reached the king of the kingdom of the dead, Hades, and his wife, Persephone, who were amazed at the presence of a living person among the dead and ghosts

Hades felt what was going on in the soul of this suffering lover, and decided to help him by returning his wife to him in the world of the living, but on the condition that he not look at her until he crossed the gates of the underworld

And Orpheus flew out of the intensity of happiness, which he did not believe.
She held the hand of her husband, who felt the deepest feelings of pain and heartbreak for losing his wife for the second time, right in front of his eyes

He tried to beg Sharon to let him cross, but he realized that his chance had expired and he had to live alone with pain

Orpheus decided to live alone, as no other woman would set foot in the land of his heart after his beloved wife, so he lived on the top of Erebus, serving in the temple of Apollo among young boys

But he was not spared from the deception of women, so they besieged him and flirted with him, but he repelled them, because he would not have anyone except for his only beloved, Orydius

But the women of Dionysus, followers of Bacchus, did not surrender, but rather decided to punish Orpheus for his obstruction and his arrogance towards them, so they tore him with their hands into small pieces and threw his head and his harps into the river

Orpheus, the grieving lover, died, who knew love in all its meanings, tasted the bitterness of separation and pain, and played for the last time the melody of separation from the world of the living
Birds and animals wept for him, even trees mourned his loss

And his torn body floated over the river until one of the goddesses of inspiration found him and buried him near the Olympian mountains

And his vest turned into a bright star in the sky after Apollo's pleas to Zeus

As for Orpheus, the faithful and beloved, his soul finally moved to the world of the dead to meet his beloved wife, and her image and features filled his eyes, which wilted from his tears for her

As for the criminal prostitutes, they tried to wash their hands of the blood of Orpheus, the pure and loyal, but the river refused and went down under the ground"

Greece has always created beautiful love stories and often tragic love legends...
This myth is considered among the most famous Greek love myths, which has mentioned in books, movies, as it includes the meaning of true love between Orpheus and Orydius.
Orydius's death and Orpheus's attempt to follow her to the world of death, and his failure in that, his decision to surrender to fate, and living the rest of his life alone with the memory of Orydius and the pain of their separation.

All the love novels that I read previously, the myths that we studied, and the stories that the grandmother used to tell us before going to sleep when we were young.
Whether the ending of these stories was happy or sad, these stories always leave behind the sufferings, the sufferings of separation and longing, the sacrifice for the one you love.
I learned from these stories that no pain is like the pain of love, that no water can heal the fire of separation, and that a person loves only once in his life, after which he cannot give his heart to another person.
Since I was a child, I believed in the existence of love in books only.
I believed that there is no such love in reality.
It is impossible for me to fall in love with a person to the point of sacrificing myself for him, or for him to sacrifice himself for me, this what I thought before...
I grew up seeing my friends dating, and they told me everything about the moments of their love, while I was trying to hold back my emotions and denied them, although my heart tended in many times towards love, but I denied it and continued on my way, I thought it was my only way to save myself from what Orydius and Orpheus went through because of love...

I didn't know that everything I considered that was a lie, it will become part of my reality, and everything I denied, I will some day confess it.
I didn't know that I was destined to love someone...
Anger
Love
Hate
Longing
Crying
Nostalgia and sadness...
My destiny is to live everything that I denied...

My name is Layla and this is my story...
