I sit in the coffee shop, and after a few minutes the waiter comes to take my order
The waiter stands next to me and he says "What would you like to drink"
I lift my head and say "Iced coffee, plea...se..."
I couldn't finish my sentence because...
The waiter...
The one who is standing in front of me, the waiter who takes my order, is the same guy I hugged yesterday, the guy who drove me home
I don't really know what to say
He doesn't look shocked at all, unlike me, he probably recognized me when I entered the cafe, maybe he saw me when I was coming
He interrupts my thoughts by saying "Want something else with your iced coffee?"
I answer while I'm stuttering "No... just iced coffee... thanks"
Then he says "Well, your coffee will be ready in a little while"   Then he went, he acted as if he didn't recognize me, while me as soon as I saw him, the words in my mouth no longer wanted to come out, I feel very embarrassed by this situation, but his behavior in this way really relieved me, I feel that he recognized me, and he just didn't want to embarrass me
Actually, there's nothing will prompt him to talk to me, we met yesterday, he helped me stop crying
I will not deny that I felt warm and comfortable when he hugged me, but it was just something from him to help me, also he drove me home, then it was all over, there is no reason for him to talk to me about what happened yesterday
He brings my coffee and puts it in front of me he puts a glass of water next to it and says while he's smiling "Enjoy your coffee"
I reply to him with a smile "Thanks"
Then he went again
After I finished my coffee I decided to go and thank him for what he did for me yesterday, I didn't thank him as I should have yesterday
He's standing there not far from me, I go to him, I touch him in his arms to turn to me, he turns to have my eyes looking straight into his eyes again, my heart starts beating fast, I come to thank him but as soon as he looks at me, my words are lost again
I say "Thanks..."
He says "For what?"
I say "Thank you for yesterday... you took the trouble to comfort me and drive me home, thank you, I couldn't thank you as I should yesterday"
He says "It's really okay, I'm the one who insisted on driving you home, because my conscience wouldn't let me sleep if I didn't make sure you got home"
I smile at him, I felt it was a real smile, I haven't smiled like that for a long time, it's like his presence gives others a sense of comfort
I say "Well, I'm going now...Thanks for the coffee, and thanks for yesterday again"
He didn't say anything after that he just smiled at me
I turn towards the door to get out, I turn again to him, and I wave my hand to him, then he waves to me too
I turn my face quickly
"What are you doing girl? I should never have come here"
I open the door but before I go out, I hear a man's voice calling.  He says "Adam... Come here son" and the waiter, the guy who helped me, who hugged me, who drove me home, he's the guy who answers the man
His name is Adam...
Adam...
