"I don't want to go!" Jisung screamed, refusing to let go of the couch. His tiny hands clung to it like a lifeline and nothing that Taeyong did was going to get the five year old away. The other boys were already gathered in the dorm entrance, ready to go. The only one refusing to go was Jisung.
After what felt like forever, Taeyong managed to get him away from the couch and got all the kids to school. But there was not the end of the issue. When he went to pick up the kid from his kindergarten class, he was handed a very upset, loud, screaming child that was most definitely Jisung.
"He's been like that for a long time. I'm surprised he hasn't lost his voice yet" The teacher mentioned. Taeyong sighed, signing the kid out and taking him home, after picking the other kids up. Jisung didn't stop crying the entire time, though he finally stopped screaming like he was being murdered, but his mood didn't get better even as the day passed.
"What is up with Jisung? He's been a pest these past few days" Haechan complained. It was beginning the second week of school and there had been no improvement with Jisung's behavior.
"Don't call your brother a pest" Taeyong responded absentmindedly, barely even paying attention to the conversation. Jisung had been in a bit of a mood recently but there wasn't much Taeyong could do about that. Actually, there was a lot he could do about that but he didn't know what to do.
"Whatever" Haechan rolled his eyes. Renjun smacked him over the head. He had to agree though; they were all getting annoyed with Jisung. Taeyong gave him a disappointed look, causing Haechan to shrug and turn to whatever was playing on the TV. He didn't feel like dealing with a lecture at the moment.
The next day was not much better. Taeyong had to drag Jisung out the door, into his classroom and personally pry the kid off of him just to get back out the door. When he picked Jisung up, the kid was screaming like he had been the first day, and the second and third. Taeyong was reaching his limit. He didn't know what to do and he was about to ask for help from someone else.
By the fifth day, Taeyong had enough. He left the older kids with the 127 guys and took Jisung out for some one on one time. Maybe that would help.
"What's bothering you so much about school?" Taeyong knew he caught Jisung off guard. The kid glared at him, picking up on what Taeyong was doing. He should have known that something was up when Taeyong took him out for ice cream before dinner.
"I just don't like it" Jisung shrugged, kicking his little legs under the table.
"Well, I hate to break it to you but you have to go to school. And it'll be easier for you when you stop throwing a fit every time. Can you do that?" Taeyong picked up a napkin, using it to wipe some ice cream off Jisung's mouth.
"I guess" Jisung shrugged again. He didn't really want to try but he figured that maybe Taeyong was right; maybe it would be better if he stopped throwing a tantrum every morning.
"Good. So tomorrow when I take you to school, I'm not going to have to drag you out of the house? And I'm not going to come back to pick you up just to find you screaming and crying again, am I?" Taeyong finished off his bowl of ice cream.
"No hyung" Jisung promised. He was going to try, if only to please his hyung. Taeyong threw their bowls away, leading the way back to the car.
"Good. Now let's go get the others before they realize that we had ice cream without them" Taeyong knew it was wrong but he did not want to deal with anymore upset kids for the day. He didn't want the others to be jealous of Jisung getting ice cream when they didn't.
The next day was better. Of course Jisung was still going to have his bad days, just like any child would, but at least it wasn't every day anymore.
