The Conscience | Jinkook

Chapter 4

A week passed after their song was released, and Jin and Jungkook were seen attending an award ceremony, they didn't come together of course.

Jin came first, he looked handsome as usual, the reporters who were busy taking pictures were fascinated by his appearance that night, he didn't only come as a guest but he would also perform the song live.

And not long after Jungkook's car came and he got out of his car to walk on the red carpet and take pictures.

But since they are in the same agency, they got seats next to each other. Jin had sat down first and he just nodded his head when Jungkook came and saw him, he's bow to Jin before sitting next to him.

One by one the singers arrived but their line were still quite empty, only two seats left and those must belong to Jimin and Taehyung.

"You are so beautiful," Jungkook turned to Jin who was still focused on staring ahead as if he didn't say anything.

Jungkook just lowered his head and played with his fingers, his legs also kept moving because he was nervous and suddenly Jin put his hand on Jungkook's thigh.

"Hyung," Jungkook said and Jin just pulled his hand from Jungkook's thigh, he just wanted to tell Jungkook not to be nervous and stop moving his legs and Jungkook know that.

Jin gave the hot pack he was carrying to Jungkook to keep him warm and comfortable. Jungkook couldn't hold back his smile at that time, he blushed at Jin's unexpected action that night.

Not long after Jimin and Taehyung came and they sat in empty seats, Taehyung sat beside Jungkook and Jimin sat beside Jin.

"Hey hyung, congratulations on your new song, I've heard it and it's amazing, you created a masterpiece," Jimin said.

"Oh thanks, Jimin," Jin said.

"Oh sorry hyung, but there's something on your face," Jimin says and they face each other, making Jungkook notice what they're doing.

"What do you see?" Taehyung said and surprised Jungkook.

"Ah? Oh no I didn't see anything," Jungkook said, Taehyung saw Jungkook continuing to play with the hot pack in his hand and his legs were still moving.

"Are you nervous?" Taehyung said.

"Yeah, a little," Jungkook said and Taehyung put his hand on Jungkook's thigh trying to calm him down.

Jin saw what Taehyung was doing to Jungkook and Jungkook immediately stopped his feet and cleared his throat. He felt uncomfortable with what was happening.

He knew Jin would be jealous to see him but he was also jealous to see what Jimin did to Jin.

"Jin, Jungkook, you should go backstage now to get ready." A staff member came and asked Jin and Jungkook to leave.

They went towards the back of the stage, there weren't too many people there just a few staff and the place was also quite dim. Jungkook stands in front of Jin, he will appear first before Jin. That's why he was nervous.

But the unexpected touch he got made him startled and turned his head towards Jin.

"Hyung," Jungkook said.

"What?" Jin said and asked Jungkook to refocus, he kept holding Jungkook's ass and occasionally squeezing it, making Jungkook suppress a smile.

"You can do it," Jin whispered.

"Hyung, you are driving me crazy," Jungkook said.

Jin immediately pulled his hand when the staff approached them and asked Jungkook to immediately go on stage.

"Jungkook, are you ready? You can go up now," A staff member said and Jin just busied himself with warming up before starting his performance.

When Jin got on stage, Jin could see Jungkook who was sitting in the middle, with a standing mic in front of him. He sang an acoustic version of Still With You and it was very touching.

Jin didn't realize that ever since Jungkook sang that song, he kept smiling with his heart beating, he was there when Jungkook wrote the song and as Jungkook said, everything in that song, it's all about them.

Applause sounded and Jin felt very proud of his boyfriend. He wanted to immediately hug Jungkook when he returned backstage but he had to hold himself back.

Jungkook came down from the stage and saw Jin who was getting ready, there was still time for Jin before he performed.

Jungkook looked at Jin but Jin just looked away because there were a lot of staff there. Jungkook was quite annoyed with Jin's reaction to him. He decided to leave without greeting Jin and returned to his seat.
