Amanda's POV

I groaned as I sat up from the bed. I slowly rubbed my eyes, I turned to my side expecting to see Hunter next to me but it was empty. I was alone.

'Where did he go'

I checked my phone, it was close to 7 AM.

'Did he wake up to make me breakfast already?'

'He's been really dedicated to making my meals hasn't he'

'Although things are not back to normal yet, I'm happy things are improving a great deal'

I got out of bed and then walked to the door. I walked back to my own room to take a bath and get dressed.

I walked downstairs and found the table was already set, I smiled to myself as I took a seat.

'He really is committed to this huh'

"Good morning" I heard Skylar's voice.

She sounded cheerful and happy but my own joy vanished when I saw her putting on an apron. She was holding two glass cups. There was no sign of Hunter.

"S-skylar did you help with breakfast today," I asked.

She placed the cups down.

"Yes, Your personal chef isn't home so he called me and asked for a favor" She explained as she took a seat.

"H-he's not home?, do you know where he is what time did he leave," I asked.

I started tapping my foot unconsciously.

'Calm down Amanda, what's up with those questions'

'You sound clingy, you are not his boss and he doesn't have to report all his actions 24/7'

'But why did he leave, what time'

"Uh he called using Zack's phone and said he won't be able to make breakfast for you today and asked if I would assist him, he didn't tell me anything else. My guess is he didn't spend the night here, both him and Zack" She explained.

My heartbeat quickened.

"Are you sure, he must have said something else" I asked.

She placed her hand on top of mine.

"He will be back, don't start to panic, he'll be here soon, he'll be upset with me if he learns you didn't eat anything," she said.

I nodded.

"I'm sorry, I just don't know how to control this. When he's not close by I get so agitated, I've been like this since he suggested us breaking up" I confessed.

"Have you talked to him about it?" she asked.

"Several times and he reassures me he will never say it again. He even suggested we talk to a counselor but I refused" I explained.
