Chapter 29: Few Months..

Amanda's POV

I knocked on Rai's bedroom door several times, but no one answered on the other side. I slowly twisted the knob and to my surprise, the door was unlocked.

I walked into the empty room.

"Rai" I called.

There was no answer.

I noticed his closet door was slightly open. I quickly walked in starting to get worried, he was in there staring at his reflection in the full-body mirror.

My cheeks burnt up when I realized he was only in a towel.

'He is staring at himself in the mirror again. He's been doing it since they took off the bandages'

A few months and already gone by, Rai had his surgery and was recovering rather quickly. For the first few months, he was wrapped in bandages to avoid swelling and infection but after they had taken off the bandages he couldn't believe the scars were gone so he would always stare off into a mirror.

He still wasn't allowed to go outside and be exposed to the sun so he was always at home, we tightened security around the house, and no one apart from the people who knew he was alive were allowed inside the house. The cleaning staff and gardener were only allowed to do their jobs on days when Rai went for check-ups Of which Brian had to make sure the entire hospital was closed.

We did all we could to hide his existence from the outside world. We still had no clue who tried to kill him so we were hesitant to make it public that he was still alive.

"Amanda" he called snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Uh, Rai good morning. Sorry to disturb you, you looked so into the mirror I was starting to get jealous" I joked.

He chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I just find it hard to believe that the scars are gone, it feels so unreal" he commented.

"You are not fully healed yet, just a few more months and you won't need to be cooped up in this house. Speaking of I came to call you down for breakfast, you should eat before taking your medicine" I reminded.

He nodded.

I sprung around then walked out of the room quickly, it was really hard controlling my drool, he still looked hot, and being almost naked, I almost pounced on him.

'Get a grip Amanda, what's wrong with you'

'You're acting like a sex-starved maniac'

'I don't think he has such thought right now'

'I wonder what he thinks about me'

I walked downstairs and found Zack already at the table chatting with Skylar. The two of them were already a couple but for some reason decided to keep it a secret, the only way I got to find out was because I walked in on them when they were making out.

The two made me swear not to tell Rai till they were ready to tell him themselves.

"Morning" I greeted.

"Morning Honey, where is Rai" Zack asked.

"He is getting ready he'll be down in a moment" I replied.

I pulled out a chair and took a seat.
