Stay away from me

After all that emotional talking I needed to refresh and Thomas announced me that he was going to prepare a lava cake. It made me feel so good, it was the first time in many years when someone remembered what I liked and was going to do something for me. I couldn't help but my mind wondered. How could someone not love him back? He made everything to make me comfortable, he was taking care of me. I made my entrance in the kitchen where he was waiting in front of the oven for the cakes to bake and repeating in my mind the million questions I had for him.

"If she didn't love you why did you marry?" I asked and sat next to him.

"I had no clue. We met up when we were very young. I was 23 and she was 22 years old, in New York. Actually she made the first move. I was visiting a friend there and we are out for breakfast. I noticed her when she entered the coffee shop, she also noticed me and came straight to me. She handed me her business card and said the she was free the other night. I didn't say anything, I was just shocked she had so much boldness. She didn't ask for my name, if I was from there, if I had someone. Of course I called her later and he had our first date. She invited me to her apartment that night and I fell in love with her, but I was so blind. In the following three month I went to visit her as much as I could, but we somehow spent all our time in bed. She wasn't the type of person to attach, to care about the others. If she had a shooting she told me to get outside so she could rest and yet I was still blind to see it. I thought she was bold and free but to be honest she was a consumer and I didn't realise it.
The short story is that after 3 months of visiting her she told she got a new contract in Dubai. I was said and hurt mostly because she wasn't affected, she was so eager to leave. I asked her what will happen with us. She told me that we could get married, so I can have a guarantee that we could still be together. I was so happy that we flew to Las Vegas, officialised our marriage and the next day she flew to Dubai to pursue her carrier.
We finally met a year after and she was so changed. She lost her sparkling, her energy, it didn't took me long to find out she was on drugs. I spend a lot of time next to her trying to make her stop. Her parents were also working with me. We took her to a rehab four times, but she was always getting back to drugs. After her parents insisted that we moved, I loved the idea to have a new start and the rest of the story you know it."

I was just speechless, the man in front of me deserved so much more and he still suffers for her.

"The cake is ready. Do you want a spoon of vanilla ice cream next to it?" he asked me

"Make it double."

"Oh you are naughty tonight" and he winked at me.

"Hmm" I took some ice cream on my finger and placed it on his neck taking him by surprise.

"Anna" he gasped. I placed my finger on his lips to make him stop and started licking his neck until he started moaning. He lifted me on the kitchen counter, grabbed my face with both of his massive hands and looked at me."

"That ice-cream is melting." I told him.

"Perfect." he also took some and placed it on my collar bones, licking it like he never tasted anything better and almost letting me out of breath.

"F**k" I gasped. "I want you Thomas."

"It's a dangerous game Anna, I wanted to talk with you first. I can't hide the fact that I want you too, but things are so complicated." I looked away preparing for a new rejection. "But I am willing to take all the risks. I can't take my mind from you Anna, everything you do it makes me crazy and I want you to be mine. I want to place kisses on every inch of your body" he looked at my legs. "I couldn't stopped imagine that dream if yours" he whispered in my ear and it was enough to make me loose control. I just crashed my lips to his and pressed my body into his enjoying the fact that he really wanted me. He lifted me from the counter not breaking our kiss and in a few seconds we were in his bedroom, fighting to get rid of our clothes, fighting to kiss every part of our bodies. I just didn't know who wanted more for  this to happen, but is was too good. He finally managed to get me undressed and took a step back to admire my body.

"You are so damn perfect Anna. So beautiful" and he was teasing my breasts with his tongue. He made me lay on his bed and we shared our first intimate experience. After catching up our breaths I laid my head on his chest and I couldn't believe I was so lucky to have him. I was completely in love with him but I knew I didn't have the courage to tell me. While he was playing with my hair I started placing kisses on his bare chest, I felt his pulse raising so he grabbed me up and we started kissing again. He was addicting. We had sex again and I fell asleep at his chest.

I woke up in the middle of the night. Thomas was sleeping peacefully next to me. I searched for my phone and remembered it was in kitchen in my purse. I took his shirt on and loved the feeling of it. When I found my phone I realised it had only 3% battery and I started looking for a charger but I couldn't find. I decided to wake him up and ask.

"It's in my office." he groaned and barely opened his eyes. "So hot" he mumbled, "Get back here" he caught my legs and placed kisses on them. I laughed and told him to get ready for another round. I ran to his office and figured the charger was supposed to be behind his next. I found it plugged in there but when I got up I accidentally hit a drawer and a few things fell down. "great." I slapped myself and got down to gather them until I took a file in my hand and started shaking.

It was my name on it and a photo, on the next page it was another photo with me at the bar. On the next one it was a photo with Caleb, on the other one it was my dad's photo and all this medical history, including where he was buried, the information that my aunt was our official tuttor. On the last one it was my mother's medical history. I just looked again and again at everything and felt like the air wasn't enough. I didn't hear when he entered the room, just faintly heard him calling my name again and again

"You bastard. You knew. You f****g knew. Everything." I yelled and cried in the same time. He looked confused and after his eyes moved to the papers that were on the ground.

"What Anna? What is going on?" he asked and knelt down and looked at the. I moved on the other corner as I didn't want to be near him.

"What? I DON'T understand." he scanned all the pages and realised it.

"Oh Anna, look it's not what you think. F**K" he looked desperately at me and tried to approach me.

"Stay away from me." I yelled at him. "I trusted you enough to share my secrets with you and you just knew. Probably you were laughing inside when I was pouring my soul in front of you."

"God Anna, I am not that cruel. I didn't know,. Looked I think I realised everything. On the night of your disapperence I called Martin, my brother who works for the CIA. Before he left he handed me this file and said I have everything there about you, but I refused to open it. I was intrigued that you didn't want to share anything with me, but trust me I had no clue about your life and I never laughed about you."

"Give me a break." I said and fought to hold back my tears. He didn't deserve to see me crying anymore. "Take me home." I took my home, my purse and decided to keep his shirt on.

"Anna let's talk, please."

"Take me home right now and don't you dare speak with me. If you can't respect this I will call a taxi."

"OK, let me get dressed." and once again I knew I was cursed. My parents died and when I finally got the courage to open up in front of someone he completly crashed me. The worst part was that I knew that I loved him. It was supposed to be the most beautiful night of my life and he made it a nightmare and I would never forgive him for this.
