Long ago in a galaxy thousands of light years away from earth, lived a star of the luminous race. She possessed a glow that was specially unique among her race of people, allowing her to shine as bright as her mind and emotions would allow. Her name, was Adeline.
Being a star of her kind, she possessed the conjure light and glow a pure bright white.
Apart from this pure glow, stars of the luminous race possessed the ability to manipulate light to create and use weapons. Such as swords, bows and arrows used in archery, and even spears.
Having the ability to create each weapon automatically manifests the knowledge of its use, but with timely training each star learns to hone and master their ability.
She's never dared to venture into neighboring galaxies or into the many unknowns beyond what she'd seen, not that it wasn't allowed; she simply feared the world beyond what she knew. She did, though, always had some understanding of what it entailed as she'd constantly dream of someday being brave enough to leave and be able to see and experience the true beauty of what laid beyond. She wished to be a traveller.
Travellers are stars who has mastered the use of their gift and hence is allowed to leave their galaxy at any point in time to battle the Mioters.
Mioters were the rogues of outer space. They'd lurk around galaxies, novas or any place big enough to hide them just waiting to injure, kidnap or do any kind of unthinkable acts to stars. Even go as far as waging a full on war.
Having no special abilities it is no trouble to kill a single Mioter, even without the use of magic; however their strength in numbers would make it a necessity.
Though having the ability to glow and in some ways conjure light, Adeline possessed not the ability of her people. she still, however, dreamed of travelling the universe and finding new freedom.
Adeline truly believed that this fantasy of hers was merely exactly what it was, a fantasy; As she'd never heard of a giftless star becoming a traveller. Everyone knew the risks of travelling without any way of actually protecting themselves, hence she never bothered to think this dream of hers could actually come through. That was, until everything took a turn.
