Alastor

I groan as I head downstairs, blanket and pillow in hand, the blanket dragging across the floor. I sit on the couch, trying to fluff up the pillow the same way I do with Anthony’s chest fluff. Unfortunately it just isn’t the same, especially without his strawberry scent.

“Papa, are you and mama fighting again?” Tracy asks, looking up at me, teddy bear in hand. “Why of course not. Whatever gave you that idea my dear Tracy?” She frowns at me. “Are you really asking me that?”

I chuckle as she climbs onto the couch. “I’ll sleep with you so you don’t get lonely.” She yawns as I tuck her in. “Are you sure? I’d prefer if you slept comfortably in bed. You have school tomorrow.”

“I’m more comfortable here.” She laughs, hugging her teddy bear. “If you say so.” I laugh, resting my head on the pillow.

“Tracy time to get up-..” I stop in my tracks noticing her bed empty. “Tracy!?” I yell, running out into the hallway. “She’s down here!” Albert yells from the kitchen. I frown at the sound of his voice but go anyway to check on Tracy.

“Tracy we gotta get you ready for school.” I yawn, walking in to see her already in her uniform, sitting at the table eating pancakes. “Good morning Anthony.” Albert says casually. “Don’t you good morning me Albert.” I growl, grabbing my coffee off the table.

“I can see you’re still upset and you have every right to be, but let’s not argue in front of Tracy please. She’s got enough on her mind with her recital.” He laughs, setting some pancakes in front of me as I sit down.

“You wouldn’t know a thing about that given you aren’t going.” I mutter loud enough for only Albert to hear me. “Anthony..” He growls. “It’s not like I’m lyin’ now am I?” I growl, digging my claws into the table as Tracy finishes her pancakes.

“Tracy go get your bag, me and your papa need to talk, alone.” I say innocently as she nods, walking out of the kitchen. “You haven’t told her have you!?” I yell, getting up and grabbing him by his collar.

“I will explain my reasoning for not being there after, I don’t want this to distract her in school today.” He explains, removing my grip on him and picking up Tracy’s dirty plate. “Albert, that girl loves you, she wants you there! You just need to show up and be there for her, is that so hard for you to do!?” I yell.

“Anthony I will make it to her next one ok. She’s got plenty left for this school year. I will make sure I make it to every single one.” He growls, scratching the plate. “Albert if you don’t start showing up now she's not going to want you there later on! Is that seriously the relationship you want with our daughter!?”

“No! I don’t want to miss this, it’s everything we’ve wanted and I hate missing it, but losing out on this deal would be extremely pricey!” He yells, slamming the plate down hard enough to break it, shards of it going into the palm of his hand.

He turns the water off walking out of the kitchen, passing Tracy on his way out. “Mama what happened to papas hand?” She asks, looking worried. “It’s nothin’ sweetpea, your papa just had a little accident.” I explain, patting her head.

“His hand was bleeding a lot.” She comments, following me out of the kitchen. “He’ll be fine, he'll be healed up with a snap of his fingers.” She looks down, making it clear she's nervous. “Talk to me Tracy, what's buggin’ you?”

“Do you think papa is going to come to my recital? He missed the last one.” I get down on my knees so I can face her. “Look sweetpea your papa is really busy so sometimes he’s going to miss your recitals but I’ll always go ok?”

She nods her head, still frowning. “Hey don’t be sad you got your recital today ok you’re going to be a little star and I’ll be in the crowd supporting you, how about I invite your auntie Molly and her family and we can get ice cream after? Would that make you feel any better?”

Her face lights up at the mention of ice cream, nodding her head she runs outside to the car as Albert comes downstairs. “We’re going out for ice cream after her recital, you can use that time to think of a way to make it up to her.” I snarl, slamming the door behind me.

Alastor

I sigh, as I walk up to the castle, knocking on the door and waiting for Lucifer to answer. “Why hello Alastor.” Lucifer cheers as he pulls me into a kiss I don’t want. Just imagine it's Anthony I tell myself. “I’m missing my daughter's recital for this Angel is furious.” I mutter, stepping inside as he closes the door behind me.

“Here's the thing I could care less about your relationship with Angel or your family for that matter.” He laughs. “Of course you wouldn’t, not like you cared about your own family.” I laugh as I sit on the bed.

“You, the radio demon capable of caring for any demon? Why I can hardly believe it!” He laughs as he walks over, punching me in the face causing me to fall back. “Funny you say that given you claim to care for Charlie yet you completely cut her off for admittedly having a completely unrealistic dream.” I laugh, putting a hand over my now bleeding nose.

“Well I was going to go easy on you, maybe let you leave a little early but just for that forget about it.” He growls, stepping out of the room. I sigh, this is going to be absolute torture and not the good kind.
