The internship Cont.

The next day
"Ok kid. Go in through the back. They're on the second floor." I heard hawks on the coms. I transformed into a compy and jumped on top of the garbage bin and into the small broken window. "This is the Police. We have your surrounded. Multiple heroes are here." The Police captain said.

Hawks wanted me to get a hand at actual hero work. I wasnt doing anything super big. But he also wanted to gauge my ability to be stealthy. I kept close to the wall keeping myself out of sight. I made my way up the stairs and ran around the corner and stopped. I looked into the room where the perpetrators were keeping the hostages. There was one guy who had an earth manipulating quirk, that was made significantly stronger with a support item. And 3 other guys who were his yes men, with sub-machine guns, and Kevlar. I saw the hostages. I made my way to another room and transformed back. "Ok. All four are in there. The hostages are being held at gun point." I told hawks. "Shit. Did you see what they looked like?" He asked. "Yes, One adult female. And two adolescent males." I said. "Ok. Dont do anything yet. If you go in there to distract them, they'll catch on quick." He said.

I sat there for a second. Every second that passed was vital. I really began to feel the sense of urgency, and anger towards the villains. "Ok kid. Get ready, the cops are gonna go on the offensive. I need you to go in there and keep those people safe." He said. "Ok." I transformed into a Utah-raptor. I slowly moved my way towards the room. I then saw the perps wild card. C4 stuck on the wall. I snarled a little bit. If they didnt get what they wanted, then there willing to take themselves out. I then ran in nocking the gunmen down and standing in front of the hostages. "What the fuck is that thing?" They pointed there guns at me. The leader looked over, and seemed to recognize me from the festival. Then the sounds of the police units coming towards the room were heard, and i saw the leader pull out a remote. I jumped on one of the gun men pinning him down and swapping the gun out of the other ones hand. I saw the other gunmen point at me, i grabbed the man up with my jaws and held him in front of me, and pushed forward with my legs and threw the man into the other one. Then i saw the police just getting to the room. "C4!" They yelled. The leader was about to push the button. I went over to the hostages and covered them with my body.

Nothing happened. "Do it." I heard hawks. I looked over. He had made his way in here and was holding the leader at the tip of his feather blade. The leader stood frozen. Then he shakily dropped the remote, the hawks caught with the feather. "You have the right to remain silent." The police chief said coming through and putting power dampers on the leader and confiscated the guns and putting the gunmen under arrest. I transformed back and looked at the hostages. "You guys are safe now." I said. The mom and her two boys looked at me. "Your from the sports festival." The mom said. "Come on. Let's get you guys out of here." I said and began untying them. I got them untied and helped them up. "Good work." Hawks said. "Thanks for the help. We'll take it from here." The police chief said. "That probably coulda gone better though." I said to hawks. "Its your first time. You'll get the hang of it. But im glad you did well." He said.

"Ok everyone be careful." I heard hawks say. There was a fire on the 3rd floor of a building and one of the fire trucks was broke. So i turned into an Apatosaurus with one of the firefighters siting on the top of my neck, and he had a long firehose spraying the inside. "Good job kid." I heard hawks say. "Thanks man." The fireman patted my neck as the fire was out. I made a noise and he opened the hose a little bit and gave my some water.

After everything was done, and the investigation into how the fire started began, i transformed back and stretched. "How you doing kid?" Hawks asked. "Really good. But I haven't had my coffee yet." I said. "Thats why im here." I heard my dad from the crowd. "Oh, hey dad." I said. As he handed me a cup. "Oh, and this came. It should help with stuff like this." He said and handed my a small box. "What is it?" I asked. "Try it on and see." He said. I opened it, and it was a new suit.
