The residents of LA never ceases to amaze Jules. She thought the rednecks, southern Karens, and the wanna-be-old-school cowboys of Texas were characters, the Los Angelenos took it to a whole new level. The 118 received a call about some kid getting his head stuck in a microwave filled with cement. All in the name of a YouTube prank, dare, or whatever stupid challenge the kids were doing. Once they pulled up to the opulent white mansion they were taken to the backyard where a vaguely familiar face came into her view. She recognized one of the guys as Shay Reed; a juvenile, gormless and downright immature punk that Grayson somehow found entertaining. If Shay's behavior wasn't already off putting from the start, his sheer lack of empathy and compassion for his friend's well being made her strongly disklike the guy. So much so, that when he started filming the aftermath of their rescue, she grabbed his phone and threw it into the pool. While Bobby was amused by the brunette's actions, he did have to write her up which earned her a week suspension for an informal inquiry. Shay ended up not pressing charges because "at least she was a hot chick."
On the third day of her returning to work, Jules found herself making the crew a dinner of fresh shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce, green papaya salad and pad see ew. Chimney kept stealing the peanut butter jar to dip his celery sticks earning him a smack on the hand with a wooden spoon.
"You're an aggressive woman," Chimney whimpered as he rubbed the back of his hand.
"That's what you get for interfering with her masterpiece Chim," Hen called from the corner in which she sat reading a book.
"If you keep taking the peanut butter, there won't be enough for the sauce. Now shoo," Jules waved him off.
"Ok, what about G.I?" Buck asked Eddie while Eddie played on the pinball machine. "Like G.I Joe. 'Hey, G.I.' That's a great nickname."
"Sounds like gastrointestinal." Hen muttered loud enough for Buck to hear.
"It also sounds like Glycemic Index or better yet, Gilligan's Island." Jules added while shredding up the papaya.
"As good as that show was, I don't think so." Eddie chuckled.
Buck was about to retort back when Bobby walked out from his office calling everyone's attention.
"All right everybody, listen up. I've got an announcement to make. I just got off the phone with the people from the calendar, and they have made their choice."
