First-person pov

So. What the hell do I do? 2 grown men are fighting in my brain right now. Kinda weird if you ask me, I think I'm just gonna sit and watch for now though...

"What are you even doing here?!"
"Simply giving the human some advice and knowledge of what's to come of this world, a human-like them can't stay in this world of horrid witches!"

His talk of not knowing this world made me chime in

"Oh cut the shit dinosaur I know your little game don't try to play with my head,"

God damn these bitches are annoying...I just wanted to talk to Philip and have this whole thing be over...

"I..DINOSAUR.??? oh, now that's it you little brat-!" Belos started to walk towards me, he looked like he might kill me, I stepped back slightly with a nervous face before Philip stepped in front of me

"Hey-! Leave them alone you heartless demon! They have done nothing wrong don't you dare even try to hurt them."

I watched from behind Philip who tried his damnedest to keep me safe, it felt kinda nice...I'm glad he's here to make sure I don't get murdered by this old fossil.

"Move out the way you idiot, you always had to ruin our plans didn't you"

Belos snarled and looked at him with an annoyed expression. Philip just glared at him ready to tackle him if needed. I looked around at the floor before thinking of an idea..slowly but surely as they were arguing I stayed quiet and concentrated on the black jelly-like floor..within a flash dark black arms rose and grabbed at Belos pulling him down to hold him tightly against the floor

"WHAT THE?! What is this, you unholy child! Let go of me or I swear I will rip you apart!"

He yelled back as I just watched him struggle, Philip looked at me surprised and picked me up happily

"That was incredible Y/N! How did you manage to do that?"

He asked while holding me up happily, I looked surprised and just kinda nervously looked at the ground

"I just tried to concentrate hard enough.."

I replied before he set me down, I looked at him nervously and sighed

"Philip...can w-"

"Of course we can. I wanted to talk to you about what happened..."

He cut me off with an answer, I looked down and rubbed my arm nervously

"What... actually happened with you and your brother?"

I asked before sitting down on the floor, I patted a spot for him to sit, and he did before taking a long inhale.

"Me and my brother Caleb were new to our town in the human world. We didn't exactly fit in so we decided to become powerful witch hunters. One day we found a witch named...Evelyn. Caleb was fascinated by her magic, she showed him amazing things and they would travel back and forth between the human and witch worlds. My heart was still full of witch-hating rage and I followed Caleb to the witch world. Once I found out that they were to be together in a fit of rage to save Caleb...I or well. Belos killed him to save his soul."

He confessed and looked down, I stared at him slightly surprised. A lump was clear in my throat as I just stared down

"I learned that witches aren't bad people though. Sadly He didn't..."

He said once more and turned his gaze towards Belos with slight rage. I just leaned over and hugged him tightly

"I'm sorry for running off like that..I should have heard you out..."

I said as i started to feel tears drip down my face. I feel so bad for running off. I should have cared and listened. I know he's nothing like Belos but why didn't I just try to listen before. I guess I was just too angry. He held me back and rubbed my back gently shushing me

"It's alright, I understand why you ran off.."

He said and patted my head, as I pulled away and looked up at him I smile only to be interrupted by Belos

"Oh how sweet, seems like you two got everything all figured out. Now let me go before I obliterate everything you care about and love"

Belos threatened as he threw his little tantrum I rolled my eyes and tuned him out. I looked at Philip and laid my head against his shoulder with a soft smile

"Thanks for being better than him Philip"

I said as I sighed and tried to let myself fully escape my brain to a wonderland of peace...

MAN I FORGOT ABOUT THIS ENTIRE BOOK but I finished a chapter teehee, I'm so glad you guys still even engage in this book and it brings me joy, I again will try to update more but god willing I even do, love yall!!
