Vegas: I'm Vegas Theerapakyul, Macau's older brother

Pete: I'm Pete! Nice to meet you

Macau: You have to stay here overnight, the doctors will be here shortly and I'll try and get your assignments for classes, oh and P'Vegas agreed to fix your car-

Vegas: What, no i-

Vegas stopped talking when Macau stepped on his foot. He thought he would kill Macau when they got home.

Pete: Why would you do that for me

Macau: You've been through so much... It's the least we can do

Pete: But-

Macau: No buts! We have to go now, lay down and rest. And don't try to escape... There's high security. I'll visit tomorrow... Byee P'Pete.

Pete smiled slightly while waving and laid back. Vegas took one more glance at Pete before leaving the room. When Pete heard the door shut, he started tearing up again.

"No matter what you do, what you say, or how hard you try nong Macau..... I will leave this world eventually."

In the car

Vegas: why'd you do that? I don't even know him!

Macau: I saw the way you were looking at him, I feel like you could save him! I know you like an open book, I saw it and let this be the first step.

Vegas: I admit that but I don't know him, why is he being bullied exactly?

Macau: Gun found out he was gay and told the whole school, students filled his locker with dildos the other day. Some guy even tried to rape him but P'Peat escaped. Earlier today they put huge holes in his car tires and broke his phone into a million pieces. They even stole the money out of his wallet. Left him there stranded and that's when I found him under the tree crying. I feel bad, especially knowing that you also like guys so I felt like I wanted to comfort him in the very beginning but I never got the chance to because every time I tried to approach him, someone would make him run away.

Vegas: Wow.

Macau: I've done some digging, his parents have disregarded him as their son so he has lived with his grandma for the last few months. I have all his background information so I'll give that to you. Just don't hurt him more, okay?

Vegas: Hmm...

Vegas POV

How could he have gone through all this, he looks so innocent and pure. He looks like internal sunshine who's happy all the time even tho he looks so dull, hurt, and broken. How could he suffer so much?

Don't worry Pete, I'll save you... Just wait for me! Tomorrow I need to make an announcement in that university, they're gonna regret what they did and I'll make sure of it.

No one POV/The next day

Pete was laying in his bed, just staring at the ceiling when he heard the door open. He looked at the door and saw Vegas walking in with a brown paper bag.

Pete: Where's Macau?

Vegas: He had to stay after school so I'm here to bring your assignments and food.

Pete: Oh, thank you then

Vegas: here you go!

Vegas handed Pete a folder and bag. He made sure Pete was completely fine before he left.

This was the first time Pete was genuinely happy! Happy that someone cares so much for him without knowing him. "This feels nice, but I know it's not gonna last."
