Pete was awaken by the sound of his phone ringing, he lazily grabbed his phone and answered without looking at the caller ID.

Macau: Hey P'Pete, are you busy today?

Pete: huh? Um no why?

Macau: P'Vegas is out today and I'm bored, can I come over?

Pete: sure!

Macau: Great, I'm on the way, bye P'Pete.

Pete: Wait-

The call had ended before Pete could even finish his sentence, he looked around seeing dirty clothes all over the floor and shoes laying around. His desk was filled with unorganized art supplies and canvases in the corner messily stacked. He immediately jumped up and started cleaning his room, the better he got emotionally and physically affected his everyday needs.

His room wasn't has messy as it used to be, he wanted to go out more and explore, he wanted real friends who he could trust. He was only in his early 20's and there was still so much he could do.

After cleaning, he put on comfortable indoor clothes and did his morning routine; he thought to paint while waiting for his nong to arrive. Pete picked a medium sized canvas and sat as his desk, he outlined his drawing and then starting painting.

Not long after, a knock was heard on his room door and then opened revealing Macau. Pete put his utensils down smiling at Macau who returned the smile.

Macau: Nanna let me in, she also said to come down for breakfast

Pete: Oh okay, let's go

They went downstairs to see Nanna already sitting down waiting, Macau politely bowed as they say down. They were all eating peaceful when someone started talking.

Nanna: I'm going to the animals shelter today, I have donations to drop off but I volunteer also! Would you like to go?

Pete: Do you want to go Macau?

Macau: Sure!!

Pete: We'll go!

Nanna: Great, we'll leave in one hour.

Pete: Don't worry Nanna, I'll clean up here, you go rest for a little.

Nanna: Why do you treat me like I'm an old hag you brat, wait come here..let me pinch your ear.

Pete: I'm sorry Nanna, please don't

Before Pete could run away, Nanna had already got to him and started pinching his ear making him whine. Macau who witnessed this envied the moment, he never grew up like most kids with two happy and loving parents.

He grew up with a father who only loved power, wealt, and money, he didn't care about his sons being exposed to danger. From age 5, Macau was forced to learn how to fight; growing up, fighting and violence was all he knew. Vegas also had to go through the same but it was worse for him, he started learning at age 3 and would be punished for every mistake.

Macau was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard Nanna say something and Pete went limp.

Nanna: If you indirectly call me old again, I'll throw my slippers at you.
