A/N: Part 3 to the Kelley O'Hara series. Requested by mellovesfanfic
"Look who finally decided to come and visit."
"I just got off the plane and that's the first thing you have to say? No 'hi, how was your flight?'" I tease, hugging Lucy. "I should've asked Keira to pick me up. She's got better manners."
"Yeah, but I'm your best friend and you love me."
"I can't remember why though."
She playfully shoves me. "Because I'm incredible. How was your holiday in Miami?"
"It was...interesting, to say the least. Kelley showed up."
"And you didn't call me?"
I shrug. "It wasn't a big thing, and I didn't want to bother you."
"You could never bother me, Jilly. Was it weird?"
"She knows I was planning to propose now and she kind of apologized for everything. We were civil the rest of the week. I don't think anything romantic will happen between us, but we're gonna try to be friends."
"You were going to propose?! Why didn't you tell me?"
"To be fair, I didn't admit that to anyone until a week ago."
"We will unpack this more later. Come on, I've got a surprise for you."
"I don't know whether to be excited or scared."
"Maybe both."
We drive for a bit, catching up more on how our holidays went and on the upcoming season. It's not until we're pulling into the parking lot that I realize where we are.
"No fucking way," I gasp, amazed at the stadium before me. "This is Camp Nou. I've always wanted to catch a match here, or honestly just to experience it in person. What're we doing here?"
"I arranged for a tour of the grounds. Thought I'd try and impress you a bit so you'd want to come back."
"This is actually the most wonderful thing anyone has ever done for me. I could kiss you right now, Luce."
She laughs.
"Seriously though, thank you for this. Best surprise ever."
"Oh, this isn't even the best part."
I raise an eyebrow at the defender. "What could be better than Camp Nou?"
"I think you mean who," she smirks, pointing to a blonde woman standing by the entrance.
I recognize her immediately, my eyes going wide. "What did you do?"
"Who better to give you a tour of the stadium than La Reina herself? I'll see you in a few hours."
We pull up in front of Alexia. "Are you crazy? You're going to leave me alone?"
"You'll be fine. Her English is good and she's very knowledgeable."
"Lucy–" My protest is cut off by my door being opened. I turn around and come face to face with the best female footballer in the world.
She smiles at me. "Hello."
"H-hi, Alexia Putellas," I stutter, blushing.
"Hola, Lucia," she greets Lucy.
"Bon dia, Capitana. Thanks for doing this. Jilly's a big fan."
I discreetly reach behind me to pinch my friend.
"Ouch!"
Alexia tilts her head in confusion. It's absolutely adorable.
