"thanks." the two guys stood outside the cafe with coffee in their hands. zhanghao thanked hanbin before heading back towards his house.
"see you!" hanbin shouted while waving at him even when zhanghao didn't look back. the two of them didn't talk, hanbin just did what he said and that is to buy him coffee. zhanghao also wasn't a very talkative person and hanbin respected that since when he asked about things regarding himself, he would make uncomfortable facial expressions.
with that, hanbin went back to his house too. on his way to the main road, hanbin was called by matthew. he picked it up with matthew screaming into his ears.
"YO! THAT HOT GIRL FROM ACCOUNTING ASKED YOU OUT ON A DATE!" matthew shouted, making hanbin move his phone away from his ear.
"you could've just said it calmly...who is that 'hot girl' anyway?" hanbin moved the phone closer again and asked matthew a question.
"YOU DON'T KNOW?? THAT GIRL THAT WON THE BEAUTY PAGEANT LAST YEAR!" matthew continues as hanbin finds it uncomfortable to hear him screaming into the mic.
"alright, alright, I get it. when's the time for it?" hanbin just quickly cut to the chase, making matthew confused about why he was not excited about it.
"dude, how come you're so calm? this is hyeji we're talking about! the hottest girl on campus!" matthew said but hanbin didn't seem to care.
"I'm doing this to get money, matt, not to chase hot girls." hanbin stated as matthew just sigh.
"this is a chance though?!" he said, but again, hanbin didn't care a little bit.
"I just hope she's an extroverted person..." with that, matthew just gave up since hanbin didn't show any interest at all.
"you're hopeless dude. here, I'll send you the details." when matthew said that, hanbin smiled a bit and hung up the phone after thanking him.
he continues to walk to his home and spends the rest of his day studying and resting.

"i heard you broke up with naeul." the chestnut-colored hair said.
"what did you expect from him anyway? the longest record was two weeks and it was hell to him. that girl got so obsessive to the point of stalking him." the blonde haired said, chewing on his bubblegum.
"she didn't like me." the brown-haired chinese stated, putting instant coffee into his mug and pouring hot water into it.
"tell me if any hot girl is hitting you up again, i can do the honor of rizzing her up if you don't want." the blonde joked making taerae roll his eyes in disbelief.
"shut up. you have a lot of girls chasing after you, but you decided to not give a fuck about them." taerae scolded him, punching him on his arm and making ricky laugh.
"I don't want to waste my time dealing with their attitude." ricky said, standing up and turning on his laptop.
"you won't be able to pull them anyway. there's this renting-a-boyfriend service going on in the psychology major. even girls from other majors are using it." taerae said while laying down on the couch since they were at zhanghao's apartment at that moment.
"oh? i guess someone is bored." ricky giggled.
"maybe they have different reasons." zhanghao suddenly joined their conversation.
"it's unlike you to reply to something not so important." taerae teased, making zhanghao turn his head away from him. he brought his coffee to his desk and play with his pc.
"I'm just saying," he said, not looking back at the other two.
"I've been saying this for a long time, but you can't expect someone to stay with you if you don't show any interest, hao." taerae said, sitting up and walking closer to zhanghao.
"I know, but the thing is, it's not completely my fault too, you know? most of them are really annoying me." zhanghao confessed as taerae just looked away, sighing in frustration.
"I gotta agree with hao on this one. the girls who liked zhanghao were never really uh, nice. you know? one of them nearly went inside his apartment last time." ricky said, recalling what has happened before.
"and there was that girl from pharmacy. she accused someone of tripping her so she could get zhanghao's sympathy. even though, she fell on her own." ricky continued to talk with a sly smile.
"naeul was probably the sanest one so far. that girl from accounting nearly kidnapped zhanghao." taerae said. zhanghao recalled the memory and sighed in regret for ever giving those kinds of girls a chance.
"maybe you try to give interest. it's always been the girls coming to you. Is there possibly someone on your mind that you're interested in? it doesn't have to be 90%, just like 0,1%." taerae advised, grabbing zhanghao on the shoulder to face him.
"there's none. they're all the same. either obsessive or wanting too much. i can't deal with it." zhanghao spoke out, making taerae shakes his head.
"have you ever considered yourself to possibly be gay?" ricky blurted out.
"there's no way, come on." taerae scolded, smacking ricky many times as he whined in pain.
"yah, yah, stop that!" ricky slapped back as taerae cursed at him.
"even if he's gay, he'd still be hopeless anyway. it's not even about sexuality, it's about how he doesn't know how to love someone or receive love." the chestnut-colored hair said, scolding ricky over and over again while pointing at him.
"ah, you're right." ricky got up from his seat and chuckled at taerae's statement.
"you're serious that there's no one you're interested in?" taerae asked once more. zhanghao then began to give it a try and thought for a while.
he began to remember all of those people who were close to him. he tried to remember if there was anyone that caught his attention. many faces were seen in his mind but still, no answer. no one really stands out to him.
"yep, he's hopeless." ricky said, chuckling while taerae was stressing out.
then, someone came to zhanghao's mind.
it was the face of someone he saw today, yesterday, and the day before.
