Chapter Nine

Emily sat there shocked to come face to face with her kidnapper. She was even more flabbergasted when Zan calmly exited the SUV and walked over to the vampire. She could not make out what they were saying but Zan constantly looked at her. At one time she sworn he winked at her. Emily felt uneasy. She suddenly didn't think she could trust him. She quickly grasped the handle to get away but found it locked. He locked her in! She was so busy with the handle that she didn't notice Zan coming back until he opened the door causing her to fall to the ground. She locked up and saw the strange vampire. She remembered hearing the word princess before she blacked out.

When she awoke she was strapped to a chair and bounded and gagged. Her eyes roamed around the room trying to adjust to the dimness. The door opened and Zan walked in along with her kidnapper. He removed her gag and she whispered hoarsely "Zan how could you...." He just looked at her and chuckled. The strange vampire came in front of her and crouched down. "Hello princess my name is Drac" Emily paled. He knew about the tale! "How do you know about the tale?!" He chuckled and got up and stood facing the window. "I had an inside source" Just then Marcy walked in. Emily's heart broke at the betrayal her sister. Marcy just stood there sneering at her. "You see princess I was always interested in the tale just like my dead mate. We wanted a child with the ultimate power however she died in the process so I have a new goal in life...these folks here want revenge and power as do I. Your great grandfather killed Zan's mate years ago...." "I don't understand I thought Marcy was Zan's mate!" "No she isn't she just wants revenge on you taking her birthright and I want to rule the world-one supernatural at a time...." He went on to explain that Marcy only wanted Ric because she loved him and Zan planned all along to kill her. However they were both approached a year ago by him to be part of the Fang. A secret organization founded by him whose only goal was to sway political interest in their favor. They were to kidnap her and killed her. This would make Marcy heir of the Gemini Coven. Zan would blame her death on the Desert Clan causing Ric in a fit to anger to kill the clan. Zan being the only surviving member will rebuild. Marcy and Zan at the head of their sectors would make the Fang one step ahead of the Order. Making the werewolf community vulnerable especially when the Order being dissolved. "It was all about politics love. You were just a pawn in my game and so was your pathetic mate." Emily mind riled at all the information. She needed to get out of here but being a healer didn't give her much to use. But she knew she wasn't going down without a fight. "I may have something else you might want other than power over the world or the spell...."

Emily was in a private jet heading to Italy. The managed to buy herself sometime by convincing Lucas she could bring his mate back using a powerful spell. She gave them a list of ingredients including her coven's amulet. Which they were off to collect or so he thought. The amulet was safe at her Coven. It held great powers of her ancestors but if Lucas thought she was about to give him he had another thing coming.....
