I feel a hand gently press against my lower back, picking up my head I glance over my shoulder to the face of the person. The cold feeling in my body made me already know who the person was. He hands me a smile, "Sorry. I didn't want to scare you. Seems like you were deep in thought."
"Just nervous," I shrug. "I haven't really fought anyone like this, only Elfman a few times during training."
"No need to worry," Erza shows up behind Gray. "Whatever happens won't change how we feel about you. All that matters is you try your hardest and have fun, okay?"
"Thanks, Erza."
"Woah," Lucy smiles as she enters the room also. "You look smoking!"
I follow her gaze to the outfit I was wearing, something she helped me pick out the day earlier. It was the battle gear that I wanted to create my image with. Every aspect of the outfit it everything I ever wanted; a dash of sexy and some bit of intimidation. Since Wendy was supposed to be on the team, there were only uniforms matching the team in her tiny size. So Master allowed me to wear whatever I wanted.
We passed the preliminary round, sure we came in last but still, we beat many other teams. While we were competing Lisanna and Happy found Wendy. The poor girl was found knocked out in the gardens of the king's castle, clearly being attacked by someone meaning to hurt her. I visited her earlier this morning, watching as she slept peacefully in the infirmary. Carla tucked in the blankets next to her, a pained look on her face as she also slept.
"She should be here," I whisper to the group, turning back to the mirror I was looking at moments earlier. "Wendy should be standing here, getting ready to go out there and fight for the guild."
"Nevermind that now," Erza shakes her head. "What matters now is we avenge our name and get revenge on the people that hurt Wendy and Carla. Okay? Whoever did that to Wendy are going to pay for what they did."
"Beat people up and ask questions later," Natsu smiles, throwing his arm over Lucys' shoulder. The room was now full of everyone competing in the Grand Magic Games. I look at each of them, seeing their smiling faces. Even after everything that has happened they still have the energy to smile. Wendy, Carla, the dragon slayers, our poor guild. So many bad things, yet here they are. Having hope for a better ending.

Walking out into the arena I follow behind Gray, taking in the energy of the people in the stands. Every audience member was booing us with furrowed brows, angry at us for probably being in the GMG. A few people sat there surprised that we even passed the preliminary round. But over everyone shouting at us, I could hear people cheering. In the far distance, I see all of our guild members, smiles on their faces as they cheer for us. Smiles come to our lips as we hold our heads high.
I listen intently to the other teams that also passed the preliminary rounds. Team Quatro Cerberus. Team Mermaid heel. Team Blue Pegasus. Team Lamia scale. Team Raven tail.
What shocked us was there was another team that was wielding the Fairy Tail guild. Five of our guildmates stare back at us with a smile, clearly happy with our shocked expressions. Juvia, Gajeel, Mira, Laxus, and Elfman.
"Fairy Tail team B?" Erza speaks out loud, clearly confused along with the rest of us.
The commentator moves us, revealing the team that came in first during the preliminary round. Sabertooth; the guild that has the dragon slayers Natsu had spoke with last night. I watch them intently as they walk into the arena, hearing the crowd go wild for them.
The group of five walks up to the other teams with cocky grins on all of their faces. My eyes land on the dragon slayers, still trying to get a grip on being around different wizards that aren't like the ones from my guild. One of the dragon slayers picks up on my gaze, because his eyes turn to me, his blue eyes burning into my soul. A smirk comes to his lips as he attempts to read me, trying to get a feel for who I am.
