They all went downstairs to eat breakfast.
But then Edaline grabbed Sophie.
"Mom? Where's Grady? Why are you crying?"
"There's something I have to tell you," Edaline said.
End of Recap.
"W-what is it?"
"Your dad... um Grady got in a....accident. He is in a coma. There is a possibility he will die."
Sophie froze.
"W-what. This can't be real. It's a joke."
"It isn't, honey."
Sophie was in tears. Why now? Why him? Sophie decided not to tell her friends yet because she didn't want to ruin the day. So she wiped her tears away and went to the kitchen.
"Hey, Sophie! What was that about?" Biana asked.
"Oh... um.. nothing"
They all ate happy. Except for Sophie. A few people left after a few hours. The only people left were Keefe and Biana.
"Sophie, we know you're hiding something. Just tell us." Biana said.
"Fine.." Sophie said with tears in her eyes.
"Hey.. why are you crying?" Keefe asked.
"G-Grady is in a coma.." Sophie said, crying.
"What. Are you ok!" Biana said.
Sophie didn't answer, still crying. So Keefe grabbed her hand and sent cool breezes.
"T-theres a possibility he will d-die." Sophie said softly.
"I can't believe it..." Biana said. "I have to go." Biana said after a while, leaving.
Sophie broke down in Keefe's arms.
"Hey... it's ok. Calm down.." Keefe said softly. Let's try something. Look at me. Breathe in. Breathe out." Keefe said. They both did deep breathing for a while to help Sophie. She calmed down a little.
"I will always be here for you no matter what. I love you. I always will." Keefe said.
"Can you come with me to visit Grady in the healing center...' Sophie said.
"Of course I will."
They both went with Edaline to the healing center.
"Hey guys. Are you here to see Grady?" Elwin said.
"Yes.." Edaline said.
Elwin led them to a cot where Grady was. He looked lifeless. Even if he wasn't dead yet, he looked dead. Edaline, sobbed softly. Sophie grabbed his hand.
A few minutes later, Grady started thrashing. He was having a seizure.
