Just as he had planned, Kirill walked out of there with Mia that night. He took her to emergency where her cut and his stab wound were treated and they were both released at 4 am. Coming home almost to sunrise, Kirill placed a sleeping Mia on the bed and watched her sleep.

She was tired and hurt, with cocaine still on her chest and her hair disheveled. She looked like she had been through war, lying in stark contract to his luxurious white sheets.

The next afternoon Mia was resting in bed and Kirill was working in his office. What had happened had left him with a personnel problem and he was getting in touch with his contacts to replace Yuri and at the same time arranging Yuri's transport to Russia.

Kirill quietly came into the bedroom so as not to wake Mia if she was sleeping. He gently laid down beside her and she looked at him with a smile; she could only lay on her stomach so she propped herself up on her elbows. Both of them had not spoken much about anything yet.

"I have to send Yuri back and his funeral has to happen fast because he has to get buried on the third day after death...that's tomorrow, which won't happen but...with transport and everything else, he should have a funeral in about four days...I have to go to Russia. I want to be at his funeral. I've known him for 20 years and he was like a father to me." He looked up at her rather timidly.

She listened to it all and felt incredible sadness that Yuri was gone. She liked him and although he looked like he killed people with his bare hands, he was also very honest and genuine and even funny at times. She saw that he was a good man, and she was trying to process what had just happened.

"Can I come with you?" She asked with hope. Kirill sighed a huge sigh of relief,

"Yes! Oh my god, I was hoping you would want to. I don't want to leave you." He said quietly and reached over to grab her hand. "I never, ever want to be without you." And he closed his eyes and kissed the inside of her hand. She climbed over closer to him to whisper in his ear,

"Don't ever let me go again." She said it slowly while breathing him in. His smell turned her on beyond anything she had ever experienced before with any other man. She thought about why that is and came to the conclusion that it's because they were made for each other.

And now, they had killed someone together, an act which had made her realize that they were bound together in blood.

"Kirill? I..." she thought about how she wanted to word her thought. Looking him in his beautiful green eyes, she said, "I was really hurt that you lied to me. It made me question our whole time together. Please promise me now...that no matter what happens, you will always be truthful with me. I still have doubts and-"

"Sunshine. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. The whole thing with your colleague kind of got out of my hands and I was so lost in you, I couldn't even begin to bring up that issue. I haven't lied about anything else. Well...also about how I found your phone number. What doubts do you have?" He asked.

The night prior, while in the hospital waiting to be seen, she had told him what happened with Tamik. He angrily paced up and down the room and clenched his jaw while listening to her.

She swallowed and again was not sure how to say what she wanted.

"Look. Clearly, there have been some instances in your life when you did stuff..." she trailed off completely not sure how to speak. She managed to explain to him that she thought that everything that happened between them was just theirs but how Tamik took her clothes off made her realize that it was too similar to what he did when they first met.

She was nervous that at the start, she was just a random girl for him that he just wanted to enjoy. She wanted to know if he was genuine from the beginning or if he just wanted to get her into bed and she was just someone to conquer.
