Nighttime Worries and a New Hero

Owlette's POV

Me, Catboy and Gekko were outside the park entrance waiting for Cartoka to show up as we trained with our powers a bit with Gekko saying "do you think Cartoka is serious about what he said?" Catboy then shrugged about it as I continued to shoot feathers out of my wings until I heard a voice from behind one of the cars only for the owner of the voice to walk out revealing to be Cartoka who was looking around nervously with Carly's helmet in his hands as he said "thanks for coming, I didn't think you would get it." I then pulled the holographic disc out from my pocket while saying "came over when we saw the message, where's Carly?" As Catboy and Gekko came over, Cartoka held up his sister's helmet showing them he was telling the truth with Catboy saying "whoa, this is serious, where could she be if she didn't have her helmet on?" Cartoka then waved his arms around with worry saying "that's why I called you guys! I've looked everywhere for her, but I couldn't find her anywhere!" This made us worry about him as we began to think of what could've happened to her until I said "don't worry, we'll help you find her, a situation like this calls for the PJ Riders." We then placed our hands on our emblems calling out our PJ Riders as our armor appeared on our bodies with Cartoka asking "are you sure you'll be able to find her?" Connor placed a hand on Cartoka's shoulder saying "don't worry, with our PJ Riders, we'll find her in no time, let's split up to cover more ground, Cartoka, why don't you go into HQ and stay with PJ Robot until we come back." we then got onto our PJ Riders and went in different directions of the city to find Carly as Cartoka went to HQ, me and Eagle Owl were flying in the air looking for Carly until Eagle Owl saw something on the ground and called me over for me to see Newton Star walking on the ground with a kid in a T-rex suit with the face covered, I got curious and flew down to them saying "hey Newton, who's your friend?" but before Newton could answer, Eagle Owl landed behind me scaring the kid, making the kid hide behind Newton as he said "this is Rexa, she's a new hero, she's a little shy about the first nighttime mission she'll have." I then extended my hand to Rexa for a handshake and she took it as I said "hi Rexa, it's nice to meet... wait, Ashley?" Rexa pulled her hand back from what I asked then rubbed her arm shyly with Newton saying "yeah, it's her, but she doesn't want anyone to see her face, she's very shy about it." I then saw Rexa tap the tip of her fingers together to see she was really shy and I said "sorry about that, guess I was surprised she was like us, what kind of powers does she have?" Newton and Rexa looked at each other nervously making me wonder what was wrong as Newton said "she doesn't have any, she just got her suit and wanted to try and save the day from any nighttime villains." Eagle Owl hooted happily as she nuzzled her head against Rexa making her let out a giggle while hugging Eagle Owl as I said "huh, I've never seen Eagle Owl become friends with someone that fast before, Rexa must have a special thing with animals, she even let out a giggle." I saw Rexa was now on Eagle Owl's back as Eagle Owl chirped happily and flew into the air making Rexa hold on tight as me and Newton flew up after them.

Newton's POV

As me and Owlette flew after Eagle Owl and Rexa, I saw Rexa was starting to calm down a bit as she was looking at the city from where she was and smiled from under her mask, I then flew up next to her saying "really cool from above, right?" Rexa nodded her head yes as Owlette saw Rexa was having a good time tonight, but then we heard something and stopped in midair wondering where it's coming from as Owlette said "owl eyes!" and her eyes glowed which made Rexa surprised from seeing it as Owlette used it to look for where the sound was coming from until she pointed to the place it's coming from saying "the museum!" and flew towards the museum as I followed from behind with Rexa hanging on from Eagle Owl zooming after us, but when we got to the museum, we landed on the ground with Rexa falling off Eagle Owl's back making us look with concern as I said "are you okay, Rexa?" Rexa then stood back up woozily as she gave a thumbs up, we then headed to the museum doors only to fly up to the roof from hearing footsteps coming, once we got to the roof, we looked over the edge to see Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos coming out of the museum with scrolls in their hands as Night Ninja was holding something else as I whispered "he must be trying rule mystery mountain again." Rexa then became curious of what mystery mountain is as Owlette said "if Night Ninja's up to something, then we have to stop him, let's go!" Owlette and Eagle Owl then flew ahead while I held my hand out to Rexa for her to look suspiciously at me as I said "don't worry, I got you." as Rexa took placed her hand on mine, I pulled her into my arms and flew after the others as Rexa held on tight from how fast I'm going but became impressed by how everything looked from above until she saw the vision of the mountain in the sky and became shocked from seeing it as I got to where the portal is with Owlette saying "Night Ninja left the portal open, he might be leading us into a trap, but we can handle it, come on!" Owlette and Eagle Owl then went through the portal as Rexa was scared of what is beyond the portal until I placed a hand on her shoulder saying "hey, it's okay, the mountain is safe when it's calm, so it's best not to make it mad, what do you say?" I then lifted my hand and held it for her answer as she placed hers in mine ready to see what will be on the other side of the portal as we went through it.

An Yu's POV

I was attending to my bonsai outside the pagoda until my staff sensed trouble outside the gates until the gate doors open were slammed open by Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos with a bunch of scrolls as Night Ninja twirling an odd amulet around on his finger while I jumped down the stairs and a few feet away from them saying "what do you want now, Night Ninja?" Night Ninja then stepped closer saying "it's a little something that I've come up with last night thanks to a little something called, the amulet of ice!" I then gasped as Night Ninja held it in his hand by the chain and shot a blast of ice at freezing me in place while dropping my staff from the blast for Night Ninja to pick it up and laughed for his victory saying "yes, mystery mountain is mine!" The Ninjalinos then cheered as Night Ninja laughed louder with joy.
