Luke's POV
When I woke up that morning May was still asleep. Her bun all messy and legs sprawled all over her bed. It was only 6:30 so I didn't blame her. We didn't have school until 8:00 and it was a Friday! I made Winston follow me down stairs and gave him food and water. I didn't want him to wake May up. I started to make some pancakes for my sleeping beauty and me. I pored the batter and pressed down, poured press, pour, press. I made 4 pancakes in all. I was getting out the syrup and plates when sleeping beauty herself walked downstairs. She looked at me one second then said," oooh! Pancakes!" I laughed and got out some silver ware. Bon appetite! After she was done eating, she went upstairs and led me to her room. She giggled and said," do you know what today is?" I smiled then said," our 5 month anniversary!" She clapped her hands then hugged me. She told me to get out while she changed. I walked out of the room and waited for her to get dressed. When she came out I gasped," May you look like a million bucks." She giggled then I changed into my clothes from the date last night. When I came out we cleaned up our plates from this morning and headed off to school. When we got there it was an early dismissal day so we only had 20 minutes of each class. After the 20 minutes in first period, we both went to math. We watched a movie in there and me and may sat by each other. When we went to Home Ec., we couldn't bake anything in 20 minutes so we talked. Me and May layed on our desks and held hands. We talked about what time we were gonna meet up and where. We decided my house at 6:30. After the whole day went by, I drove to May's house and picked her up. I had already gotten her present and she got mine. When we got to my house we went to the back yard and I led her to one of the lawn chairs. I sat her down and said," May Burch, I loved you since the day I saw you! And I knew that you were the perfect girl for me." I pulled out a rose colored necklace with a heart and put it on her. She smiled then said that it was beautiful. I told her to open it and her smile widened even more. It was a picture of both of us on each side, with words in the middle that said, together forever. She smiled then gave me my gift. I opened the box and it was a new pair of cleats. They were red and white and said, 5 months on one and, with May, on the other. I kissed her on the forehead then put down the cleats. Then I said, go get in your bathing suit. She went to the bathroom and then came out in the swimsuit she wore on our first date. I smiled then when she got close enough, I pushed her in! She screamed and pulled me in while I was laughing at her. I held her in my arms and we looked up at the stars. She smiled then we both looked into each others eyes. I told her," I love you May Anne Burch." She smiled back then said," I love you too Luke, I love you too."
