CHAPTER 4 🏍️

NAHIYA si Asryn nang bumangon siya sa kama at nakita si Bruce, ang lalaking iniisip niya, na nakikipaglaro sa kanyang kapatid na lalaki. Magulo ang buhok niya at hindi pa siya nag toothbrush.

Matapos siyang magmadaling magtago at magtungo sa banyo upang linisin ang kanyang sarili, tinawag siya ng kanyang ina upang kausapin si Bruce na naghahanap sa kanya.

She found out that Bruce was actually inviting them to his brother's birthday party.

Asryn sat nervously on the couch as she tried to come up with a good excuse to skip the party. "I really don't know if I should go," she said to her mom, "I mean, I hardly know Bruce and his parents."

Bruce looked at her quizzically. "Is everything okay? You seemed a little off earlier."

Hindi komportableng gumalaw si Asryn sa couch. "Kaya lang, alam mo, hindi talaga. Magulo ang buhok ko at hindi pa ako nagse-toothbrush. Hindi ko alam kung handa na ba akong harapin ang pamilya mo sa ganitong klaseng anyo. "

Naramdaman ni Asryn ng kaunting ginhawa matapos marinig ang sinabi ng kaniyang kaibigan kaya't nagpasiya siyang pumunta sa party. Pagdating nila sa bahay ng magulang ni Bruce, nagulat siya sa pagiging magiliw at masigla ng lahat ng tao roon.

Asryn's family is ready to meet the Portland family.

At the party, Asryn was feeling awkward and uncomfortable, unsure of how to act around Bruce. Nicole, on the other hand, was excited to see Bruce and meet his family specially Beatrice.

Asryn stood nervously in the dark corner of the party, feeling out of place among the throngs of people.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching and she gasped as a tall figure emerged from the shadows. As the dim light illuminated his face, she recognized him as Robbie, the famous celebrity whose birthday they were celebrating.

Hindi makapaniwala si Asryn na nakatayo siya ng harap-harapan sa isa sa pinakasikat na celebrity sa Pilipinas. Nag-uusap sila at ipinaliwanag ni Robbie na sinadya niyang puntahan si Asryn upang iwasan ang media frenzy na karaniwang kasama na niya.
