To Miles Gonzalo Morales, it was a night like any other. He was out there on his usual mission, trying to get some medicine for a patient of his mother's.

The medicine in his universe was ridiculously expensive and important, and since it was something everyone needed, the rich and greedy always kept it to themselves. Overlooking the ones who actually needed it. Miles was gifted with a great, flexible body and a genius brain. So when his uncle offered him the prowler outfit, He did not question it. He took it.

He took it with pride, for he knew the meaning behind it.

He had to put his life on the line for others without expecting anything in return. He was good with that as long as the people he loved and cherished were okay. He was fine. As long as he could protect them, he was okay.

So There he was, bursting out of six storage buildings—nothing new, you know. Dodging the attackers of the guards This was a normal Tuesday night for him. It wasn't his fault that his watch wasn't synchronized with his uncle's.

It wasn't his fault he was an hour earlier than his uncle.

It wasn't his fault that an annoying version of him had entered his universe uninvited with his friends. It wasn't his fault that they were watching him in awe, wondering how he could swing around like that without any spider power, not knowing that his watch was off and that the explosion he was going to cause in a few minutes, which had the goal of opening an escape route for his uncle, who was supposed to be in the building, was going to be useless.

For his uncle hadn't even entered the building yet.

It wasn't his fault that only one person was able to sense that. Zooming in on Gonzalo's watch, they could see that the timer was off.

It wasn't his fault that as they glanced over their shoulder, they saw someone that looked like Miles's uncle coming and knew that he wouldn't make it because he needed to be in the building the second the explosion went off.

Within a millisecond, they made a decision despite their better judgment.

It wasn't his fault that that person was stubborn. It wasn't his fault that they rushed into the building and that, due to their abilities, they were able to go through the building wall.

It wasn't his fault that the person who had entered the building was confused as they scanned the inside of the building, trying desperately to find what the boy they never met was looking for.

It wasn't Miles's fault that their spider sense pointed them to the exact thing Miles 42 was looking for. It wasn't his fault that they grabbed it with a smile dangling on their lips and pride bouncing around their heart, and at that exact moment he made the building explode; they were the ones that came out, not his uncle.

As confusion swirled into the depths of his eyes, Miles raised his fist, not knowing if the person standing in front of him was an enemy or an ally.

Ally...? He let out a silent chuckle at his own thoughts.
