i love you

"bye guys!" me and colby say almost in sync. i watch colby as he turns the camera off and sighs as he rubs his head.

"you good man?" i ask concerningly and sweet but trying not to sound weird.

"yea, its just been a long night" he removes his hand from his head and smiles slightly.

i smile softly back at him before turning away. i feel my face getting red and flustered, but i hide it so colby doesnt see how stupid i look.

i reach into my bag and shuffle my hand around until i find my toothbrush. i walk to the bathroom after i find it and close the door slightly but still open enough to where you can see the room from the mirror.

after i finish brushing my teeth, i cup my hands and get water in them and put the water in my mouth. before i could spit the water out in the sink, i look in the mirror and see colby take his shirt off. oh my god... i practically almost spit all the water everywhere. i spit the rest of the water in the sink before i laugh at the water all over the mirror. i grab a random towel in the bathroom and wipe it off the mirror.

i exit the bathroom and walk into the dark hotel room thats being slightly lit up from the light coming off of colbys phone screen as he lays in bed. i try to ignore the embarrassing fact i basically almost choked on water because colby took his shirt off. because that's embarrassing.

"you good?" colby laughs a little "you just randomly started laughing in there" he smiles at me which makes me smile widely back at him because his smile is so cute and contagious.

"yea" i say while laughing slightly. "i accidentally spat water all over the mirror" colby looks at me in my eyes, but i look away before my face turns red.

"wow" he shakes his head as he says softly but loud enough so i could hear it. i laugh a little again

i get in bed next to him and go on my phone and open Instagram. i go to my account and read some of the comments.

"omg the way colby looks at you sam!!" i scroll through the pictures i posted earlier that day. the second to last picture colbys looking at me like im the only thing hes ever wanted. like, im the missing piece hes been searching for his whole life. i smile slightly but not wanting to make it obvious so colby doesnt ask me why im smiling so much so i wouldnt have to explain how ive been in love with him for the past however many months because we have to share the same hotel bed for the night. that would be awkward.

another comment reads "you guys look at each other like you're in love with each other" and "you guys should just date alreadyyyyyy" i smile a little more thinking about if we actually were together.

i dont notice colby as he looks at me as im smiling while my face is a little pink, and then what im looking at and realizing why im smiling so much. he turns away and looks up at the ceiling while smiling almost as widely as me.

i shut my phone off and put it on the small nightstand next to my side of the bed. before laying down facing in the opposite direction of colby, i close my eyes and think a little more. i feel my face get hotter as it turns a darker shade of red.

i feel colby shuffle in the bed as he turns towards me. it makes me open my eyes slightly but then close them again as he stops moving. im almost asleep when i feel colbys soft hands slide under and around me. he wraps his hands around my waist which is shocking at first but immediately turns calming because i feel safer with his arms around me.

he pulls me closer to him which makes me eyes open again. he nuzzles his head into my neck.

"colby, what are you doing?" i say whispering softly as i smile

"im cold... and you're warm" he says with his head still nuzzled in my neck but i can understand what he says.

i become more flustered and smile at what he says. "oh?"

"and because, i dont know... i wanted to cuddle" he says as his voice sounds sleepy and soft. i can feel him smile against my neck.

i dont know what to say in response. i slowly shift myself to face him, i look in his ocean blue eyes that i get lost in all the time. i quickly glance at his lips without realizing. i bite my lip and look back into his eyes as he looks in mine. i look back at his lips before softly connecting them with mine.

i pull away and look back into his eyes while i smile. i turn back around and bite my lip again as i continue to smile widely.

colby faces away from me for a second and looks up at the ceiling again speechless and he smiles widely again.

i lay there smiling, flustered for a while before i go to reach for colbys hands again, as i feel him face towards me. i grab colbys hands and pull him closer to me so he can wrap his arms around me again.

he wraps his cold hands around me, and nuzzles his head into my neck again. i put my hand on one of his hands and i start playing with the one ring he leaves on at all times.

he lets me continue playing with his ring as we lay there in silence for a while.

colby breaks the silence with three words.

"i love you.." hes says with a raspy voice and i stop playing with the ring on his finger, i lay there speechless for a second and i feel him smile against my neck again.

"i love you too..." i say softly as i smile before closing my eyes and falling asleep.
