Marcus Georges-Hunt POV:
Hi Everyone! My name is Marcus Georges-Hunt I am the shooting guard for Minnesota Timberwolves. In case you may be wondering how I got there and how I met Brandon Rush? Well we met when we were in middle school. I never thought in my life that me and Brandon would go to the school dances together. However, my mom told me that I was not allowed to have a boyfriend yet due to the fact that I was too young to start dating. Anyways, if you're wondering why I didn't start dating Brandon it's because my parents don't allow me to date early, so we waited till me and Brandon go to high school and in our Freshmen year. That's when me and Brandon Rush started dating. So this is how the story begins:
Marcus!" "I'm coming mom!" Marcus heads downstairs to have a talk with his mother.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: So Mom, what's going on?
Mrs. Hunt: well Marcus, I think it's time you, your father and I needed to talk.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Okay.
Mrs. Hunt: Anyways, I know that you've been participating with the after school basketball activities, but I'm beginning to notice you and this guy are going out together.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Mom, how do you know?
Mrs. Hunt: well your brother told me.
Marcus Georges-Hunt 💭: Oh my. What was he thinking?
Mrs. Hunt: So Marcus, what's up with you? You look like you've been out with someone else you knew.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Well, I wanted to tell you this. I have a boyfriend.
His parents were appalled.
Mrs. Hunt: Marcus! I thought we talked about this!
Mr. Hunt: Son, you're not allowed to have a boyfriend.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Dad! What do you expect? He seems to be very kind and I know that if he wanted to take me out on a date, then I should be going.
Mrs. Hunt: I don't know what to do with you Marcus. You didn't even follow directions and you're not paying attention to what we were telling you.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Mom! It's not a big of a deal.
Mrs. Hunt: What if you get pregnant early?
Marcus Georges-Hunt: then I'm taking the birth control, so that I'll be cautious.
However, his father had told Marcus that he will have to use the birth control because they're still in high school and they needed to finish school first before starting a family on their own. In fact, his father didn't want Marcus Georges-Hunt to be pregnant early, so he lets him focus alongside Brandon Rush.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Mom? Dad? I have an announcement to make.
Mr. And Mrs. Hunt: what is it?
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Well, we made it official that me and Brandon are now a couple.
Mr. And Mrs. Hunt: congratulations to you both.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Thanks mom and dad.
Mr. Hunt: you're very welcome Marcus, but I really need to tell you something?
Marcus Georges-Hunt: what is it Dad?
Mr. Hunt: you need to be careful.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: why?
Mr. Hunt: I don't want any unwanted pregnancy coming around, so you have to use your birth control when you go with Brandon.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Dad I'm not doing anything stupid.
Mr. Hunt: I know, but you should always use protection when you and your boyfriend will be sleeping together.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: right!
Mr. Hunt: otherwise, this would cause a lot of conflict with your studies.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Okay dad.
After telling his parents that he and Brandon Rush are officially dating. Marcus got a dire warning from his father about the possibility of having a baby early. Well Marcus' had a brother that got pregnant early and it scared the heck out of him. Marcus and Brandon went upstairs to Marcus' bedroom and asked what was going on and what his dad was meaning to say those words.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: what does it mean and why was my dad thinking that I would get pregnant early?
Brandon Rush: I have no idea.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Plus, I have no doubt that it could happen to me. My brother got pregnant early and I never knew that. Not to mention, I wouldn't want that to happen to me either.
Brandon Rush: I Know.
Marcus Georges-Hunt: Let's open the birth control patch so that we can prevent any unwanted pregnancy.
Brandon Rush: right!
