As soon as the students settled into their seats, the performances kicked off. The singing and dancing acts were exactly what Tasha needed to let go of her self-control. She couldn't resist the urge to get up and head toward the stage. Her friends tried to hold her back because they had no clue what she had in mind. They were a bit worried about her daring and serious actions.

Tasha paid no attention to her friends' attempts to stop her. Instead, she approached the hosts of the evening's dinner—a senior girl and a boy. She struck up a conversation with the girl and asked if she could perform. They granted her permission and explained that she needed to wait backstage with the other performers and would be the final act.

At last, Tasha was called onto the stage for a surprise performance. No one had a clue about what she was about to do. Her friends speculated that she might confess something in front of the whole university. Ashar, Hamza, and Ali also grew concerned, thinking about the consequences—both Tasha and Ashar could get in trouble and maybe even be suspended from the university if she did a stunt like confessing her feelings. Only Zeni shook her head and facepalmed while glaring at her sister onstage. Zeni knew Tasha too well; she knew Tasha wouldn't resist the chance to sing if it came up.

When Tasha finally opened her mouth to sing, she left everyone stunned by delivering an incredibly beautiful performance. Though the song was originally written for a girl, only Ashar, and Tasha's close friends were aware of its true meaning.

As Tasha sang, her adorable smile never left her face, and the audience was entranced by her beautiful voice, causing a wave of excitement to ripple through the crowd.

I saw her from a distance
Out of the corner of my eye
Her hair is shiny and bright
She's the prettiest girl I've ever seen around
I saw her from a distance
She made me wanna smile
Her face is cute and it's beautiful
And she's the only girl that stands out in the crowd

I hope you'll notice me sometime
I hope you be with me, be mine
You're everything, you're my sunshine
(Oh, oh, oh)

Cause I've been struck by lightning, lightning
And it's frightening, frightening
I don't ever think I'll be the same again
You're my princess, my girl
You're my interest, my world
You mean everything, everything to me
(Oh oh, oh oh, oh oh)

And if you smile at me
You would make my heart start racing
And it's clear to see you're so amazing

Cause I've been struck by lightning, lightning
And it's frightening, frightening
I don't ever think I'll be the same again

Cause I've been struck by lightning, lightning
And it's frightening, frightening
I don't ever think I'll be the same again
You're my princess, my girl
You're my interest, my world
You mean everything, everything to me

Tasha's musical performance left everyone in complete awe. Ashar had a feeling that she was singing for him, and his friends were well aware of it too. Tasha's friends could tell that her song was dedicated to Ashar, but this secret was known only to them. Even Zeni remained unaware of the truth behind the performance. She simply believed that Tasha couldn't resist singing after witnessing all the other acts onstage.

When she came down the stage, her friends started teasing her by asking obvious questions.

“Ye Professor Ashar k liye than a?! Haina! (Sooo, was that all for Professor Ashar?)" Sana's mischievous grin was hard to miss.

“Ye bhi koi puchnay ki baat hai?! Obviously unhi k liye tha! (What’s there to even ask? It’s obviously for him!)” Laraib joined in, her smirk giving away her amusement.
