One day before I saw her. I woke up and went straight to get a haircut. Surprisedly they didn't end up messing my hair up so the day was off to a good start. We had agreed to meet at the mall closest to her because of course her strict parents weren't going to let her go anywhere else and her older sister was taking her with the idea of her being with "friends" and when I say friends I mean girls only no guys. Was I a little scared? Maybe, but I wasn't going to let that bother me. I had asked one of my good friends for advice and gave me some good advice which I wasn't expecting since we both joke around a lot and we never take each other seriously. One thing he did say which I didn't really care about was him saying "whatever you do don't catch too many feelings, she's never been treated right and we both know that treating a girl who's never been treated right before always ends up hurting you more then her".

As if I had feelings for her? Did I? Nah pretty sure I didn't and if I did it was probably like 10% at most so in my mind I was good. We called that day talking about how excited we both were in seeing each other again since the party. I remember her eyes being a unique color because it was main reason why I even bothered talking to her at the party. I asked "hey what color are your eyes?" "Your going to love my eyes for real, they're hazel color". Hazel eyes. Hazel eyes. Ojos Avellana. Avellana. A beautiful color. The word Avellana stuck in my head. Hazel, Avellana. I couldn't believe it. A girl with hazel EYES? I would be lying if I didn't say I was acting like a little girl. "Let me get lost in your eyes" I asked. "You can look at them all you want hold me close to you while you do"

I couldn't sleep all night. I don't know why maybe I was nervous to see her. Should I just not show up? Maybe this was a mistake? How did I let myself get here? Too late to back down now I had promised and I stay true to my word. Running on 0 hours of sleep what could go wrong? Absolutely nothing right? Well one way to find out. We had agreed to go at 2 but I decided to show up an hour earlier to look for a gift or something. You know be a gentleman and not some random dude. Try to make myself look different from the rest. I went to a near by store to get her a stuffed animal and some chocolates. I thought it was a harmless idea nothing bad right? Well the hour felt long. As I waited for her to to text me when she got here. We had agreed to meet near the food court.

I couldn't stop but ignore the sense of butterflies fluttering around in my stomach. She texted me "I'm here. Where are you?" "Near the food court" I said. "Making my way over there right now" I was sitting next to the food court but not exactly there so I walked towards our meeting spot. As I was making my way to the food court with the gift I had bought her in a gift bag, I saw a figure in the distance. I stopped in my tracks. I couldn't help but notice that from far away I saw her hazel eyes. They had a way of capturing my attention, just as they had the first time we met at the party. She made her way towards me till finally we were face to face again. Expect this time we weren't at a party.

She was shy, couldn't look at me in my eyes but I felt confident like never before. I handed her the gifts I bought her and well she wasn't so happy I had bought her gifts. When she saw it was a stuffed bear, her jaw dropped. "I should've told you not to get me anything if my parents see me with this they're going to question me". I just laughed. That's when she looked up at me. Those eyes. Shined so beautiful. They were perfect to me. It was like I was hypnotize to stay in place while I stared at them. She questioned if I was okay and I said I was. She was in control. That look, those eyes into which I stared. My hairs on my arm rising up, skin inching. I didn't want anyone else by my side at that moment, the world around me focused on this one person in front of me. Like in a movie or in a book I felt like I was the main character.

The afternoon was spent in laughter, sharing stories, and browsing through stores. Our easy camaraderie made it feel like we had known each other for ages. As we strolled around the mall, our conversations seem to flow seamlessly, and our connection seemed to grow stronger with each passing moment. We went into this one store, we tired on some clothes and I saw the way you came out of that dressing room. I've never seen someone who caught my attention like the way she did. She really was gorgeous to me. My jaw dropping like a cartoon character whenever he gets... yeah not so much on that topic for now.
