Chapter 5

Hiyori's POV

~My house~

Once I entered my house, I went up to my room. My body was laying in bed. Oh I totally forgot about that. "Where have you been?" A voice says. I turn around to see Yato. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

"Oh I was just out with a friend." I reply. "Was it that boy with the eye patch?" He asked. "Yato, why does it matter to you? You don't control my life." I'm a little annoyed. I think Yato is jealous. "I'm just looking out for you. Why do you have to be stubborn?" Yato yelled.

I turn my back towards to Yato. "Don't you dare turn your back towards me!" He yelled annoyed. My eye caught my body that lied on my bed. "Did you bring my body here?" I asked.

"Yes. After you and Yukine left, I carried your body. I first checked at Kofuku's place but you guys weren't there. So I dropped off your body here. I knew it'd probably be a while till I found you guys." He said calmly.

"Thank you, Yato." I said. "Yea it's no problem for a God like me." I chuckled at his comment. "Well... you get to bed. I'm going to go get Yukine, he's at Kofuku's place." He said.

I turn around. "Goodnight Yato." I smiled. He stood there for a minute with a blank expression. He then smiled. "Goodnight Hiyori."

When I woke up, I got ready and went out to buy food. After I was done buying food I went home. After I got ready to go to the coffee shop I started to head out. But before I could a voice spoke. "Where are you going?" It was Yato. "I'm going to give this food to a friend."

"Why." He asked. "Because living beings such as myself need food to survive." I said with a bit of annoyance. Why is he asking me? "Yea but can't they just feed themselves?" Yato asked. "I'm giving this to a friend out of the kindness of my heart." He looks down at my bag of food. "That's a lot of food for a friend." Yato said. "Well who said it was only going to be one person eating?"

"You're going to eat some of that?" Yato asked. "What's up with all the questions? Can I go now?" I said trying to hide my annoyance. "Is this for that Kaneki kid?" He asked. I just started walking. Yato snatched my arm. "Hiyori." Yato said. "Yato can I go already?" Yato nodded. "Can I come with you?" Yato asked.

I don't want to deny his question because he'll know something's up. But if I accept he'll see Kaneki and get mad. I'm going to have to take that chance. "Sure." I said.

Yato and I walked to the coffee shop in awkward silence.

Kaneki's POV

Yato and Hiyori soon entered the coffee shop with food in their hands. "Hey Hiyori." I said. She looked confused. "What happen to calling me Miss Hiyori?" Hiyori asked. "Sorry, do you still want me to call you Miss Hiyori?" I felt embarrassed. Maybe she doesn't like me calling her Hiyori. "No no it's fine. You can call me Hiyori." I smiled and blushed a bit. "O-o-okay?" I say nervously.

I notice Yato was giving me a threatening look. " Hiyori, your friend Yato, is giving me a uhh....... threatening look" I said to Hiyroi quietly. She looks over at Yato and notices Yato's expression.

She smacks Yato on the head and forces him to bow. "Sorry Kaneki." She says bowing. "Yato say you're sorry." Hiyori Whispered to Yato. Yato refused to bow. "No Hiyori, I don't have to apologize because I'm a God." Yato said almost yelling. A God, is this guy crazy or something? "Yato!" Hiyori said trying to hide her anger. She was angry. A black Ora surrounds her.

"What?" Yato said annoyed then looked over at Hiyori. His expression changed to scared. Hiyori grabbed him by his ear and pulled him to a corner.

Hiyori's POV

"Yato what has gotten into you?" I asked. "I told you, I don't trust him."

"Can you behave yourself?" I want him to be nice to Kaneki because he's a nice person. Yato still has an annoyed expression. "I'll give you five yen if you behave yourself." I hold out five yen. Yato stares at it tempted to take the five yen. He's battling himself deciding weather or not he should take it.

He stares at the coin as if it was the one thing in the world that he wanted. "Fine, I'll take it but you have to let me stay." He says. I toss him the coin and he catches it. But instead of saying what he usually does, he just walks away and goes to a corner in anger.

I walk back over the Kaneki and his friends. "I'm so sorry that Yato is acting like that, he just followed me here and is always being such a pest." I say shyly.

"Why is he even with you?" Kaneki asks. "Well right now he's just helping me with some stuff that he's a expert on... and uh that's why he's kinda been following me. But don't worry it's not something that's a huge thing just something that's been bothering me lately and he's helping me with it." I say speaking faster on that last part.

"Oh ok, well if he gives you any trouble, just tell me." Kaneki says flirtatiously "O-oh okay, thanks Kaneki." I say blushing a bit. Kaneki chuckles.
