Forgive me for updating a little late. Over the last few days, I copied Sam's drinking behavior and it did not end well. Apparently, I'm not that good at it.

12 weeks after their first date.

"Will you be my boyfriend?" Samantha asked while holding a box of Aaron's favorite chocolates. There was an awkward silence.

'May I have the honor of being your girlfriend?" She observed herself in the mirror. The entire day, she'd been practicing how to ask Aaron the question. Her idea was to show up at his doorstep with a gift, preferably in the rain for a dramatic effect. She wanted it to be romantic, cliche, and classy, just the way Aaron likes it. It was also how WikiHow advised it. Classy wasn't her strongest point, so she decided to drop that part.

"May I please be your partner in crime?" Sam cringed at her own sentence.
"You're weird," Nathan said from the hallway.
"Honey I'm practicing for something important, leave me be," she sighed. He walked in, and she watched him roll his eyes through the mirror.

"You should pass him a note," he advised seriously. Samantha chuckled at his adorable idea.
"I'll keep that in mind." She even considered leaving a voice note. Fear of rejection was never something she struggled with, but for some reason, she was terrified. What if Aaron thought it was too soon?

"Just do it," David said to Aaron out of nowhere. He looked up from his paperwork, feeling confused.
'Do what?" Rossi rolled his eyes.
"Ask her to be your girlfriend, idiot." Aaron frowned at the swear word.
"Let's keep it professional, okay?" The other man shook his head with a sigh.
"You can't keep stalling it. Sam's a treasure, Aaron, try to keep her." Reid entered his office as well now and waved.

"Not to push you or anything, sir, but Rossi is right." Aaron sighed. He wasn't going to tell them that he was scared. He was too embarrassed. His... whatever it is with Samantha was going great. He couldn't bear the thought of ruining it.

But he also wanted to introduce her as his girlfriend. To show the world that this amazing woman was with him officially. To fully know that they were together.
Because he liked her. A lot.

"Sir, are you okay?" Reid's voice pulled him back to reality.
"Maybe I will, maybe I won't. Now get back to work."

Once Aaron got home, he took a notepad to write down some ideas.

Ways to ask Sam the question:
- Flowers and a speech on how I want her to be mine
- Over homemade dinner
- After sex (Prentiss' idea)
- Sing a love song (Morgan's idea)
- Take her to the same restaurant as the first date (too cliche?)

He put down his pencil, there was nothing else he could come up with. Why was he so bad at this? A ping from his phone pulled him out of his negative thoughts.

[Sunshine:] Hmmm guess what?

[You:] What?

[Sunshine:] Jack and Nate are invited to a sleepover party tomorrow

[Sunshine:] And you're not away on a case ;)

[You:] I hope

[Sunshine:] Don't be negative. Tomorrow, 9 PM at yours

[You:] Who says I want to see you?

[Sunshine:] :0

[You:] I'm kidding, love
