Chapter 11: Letters

*Naruto's POV*

When I woke up, I immediately shut up eyes right after opening them. After a few minutes, I groaned and sat up in bed.

"Time for school!" Dad yelled from downstairs. "Get up!"

I slumped out of bed and got into my usual school gear. I pulled my mask up, grabbed my bag and headed out my door.

When I got downstairs, I saw Dad and Min at the counter. They were talking but stopped when I came in.

"Hey guys." I said as they both eye smiled at me.

"Hurry and eat," Dad told me. "It's time to go."

I sat down with Min as he looked away from me. I couldn't help but think the worst. 

'Did we get in trouble?'

I forgot we shared a mind space, so I jumped when Min answered.

'What? No! Why do you always have to jump to conclusions?'

'Then what were you and Dad talking about before I came in?'

...

'Nothing.'

I was about to continue to ask but Dad smacked a plate in front of me.

"Hurry, hurry. You'll be late." Dad said.

I glanced at Min as he read him book, before stuffing my food in my mouth.

"Never thought I would actually WISH to go back to school." I said, as Min and I walked through the village. It was 8:10 and the academy had already begun. Min and I were going to the opposite corner of town to begin training. 

Min looked at me from his book as we continued to walk. "What do you mean 'back to school'?"

I looked at him strangely before I understood what he meant. "Oh, before I met you, I used to go to the academy."

"Really?" He whispered.

"Mhm." I nodded. 

He was silent for a moment before asking, "Why did you stop?"

I gave him another look. "You know why. After I found you, the old man was scared we were gonna destroy everything together, so he took me out."

"Oh..." Min whispered. "Sorry."

I gave him another weird look. "No, I should be thanking you. The academy would've been boring, and no one would've wanted to talk to me. Plus, I learned way more, way quicker in homeschooling."

Min didn't say anything as we finished walking. Soon we made it to the training ground. We went over charka natures and jutsus like the Chidori for me and the Rasengan for Min. 

After yesterday we didn't want to do anything too big, or dad would find out. Especially since its Tuesday, dad doesn't have missions on Tuesdays.

Wednesday, we waited until dad left on his mission at 12 to start the real training. We used to Nine Tails but tried to stay control. It was kind of easy for me, but it took Min a little longer. In control all he could do was stand up behind he started growling and I had to tie him against a tree. Later that day he could pace around slowly.

Thursday was a little smoother. He could walk in complete circles using the Nine Tails power. I could walk up all around with Nine Tails chakra. I could even eat and talk while all Min could do was shake his head or nod. That afternoon I purposely made him mad to see if could control his anger and not let the Nine Tails take over. Let's just say, that rope is my new best friend.
