A Good Day

I woke up early, excitement pulsing through my body. I jumped out of bed with enormous vigour. I ran over to my walk-in wardrobe and picked up the 5 inch high heels that Stephanie had given me and the diamond necklace that Emily had given me on my birthday. It was an extremely hot day so I decided to wear a cropped blue denim shirt that showed off my belly button piercing and a purple above the knee length skirt, I put on the high heels and necklace. I was adding a layer of smoky black eyeliner and eye shadow when there was a knock at my door.

"Come in" I called applying my make-up

My mum walked in she was dressed ready for work at the new clinic down the road. "Hi sweetheart, you look lovely this morning." she said

"Thanks mum! I said as I finished my make-up and started brushing my hair which takes ages as it is really long.

"Now, what do you girls want to eat tonight? Pizza? Italian? Indian? What?" She said slightly excited because we always involve mum in our girly stuff like trying on new make-up and curling hair and all things like that.

"I think for tonight we have to go with Pizza, don't you think?" I asked

"Absolutely, would you like a desert?" She asked

"I think chocolate mouse and ice cream!" I said getting more pumped.

I finally finished my hair and decided to let it down today. I walked downstairs with mum, making arrangements for tonight. I had a glass of coffee and a cooked breakfast of sausage, bacon, mushroom and egg with toast. Mum had already done the horses so I didn't need to do anything this morning. Dad walked down the stairs trying to do up the cuffs on his shirt.

"Morning Dad. How are you this morning?" I asked

"Morning honey, I am very well this morning, you looking forward to your friends coming round? He asked

"Absolutely I am so excited!" I replied

"Good I will pick you girls up at 1:30. Then as a treat, I will take you into town so you can stock up on your make-up ready for tonight." He said

"Thanks Dad!! That would be amazing." I said jumping up and down in my seat.

"Right you should be going unless you want to be late for work and school." He said looking at the time.

"Ok, bye Dad" I said kissing him on the cheek heading outside. I waited for mum to get in the car and then we were off.

As I arrived at school I saw Ash sitting at the bench waiting for me. I got out of the car and walked over to him, getting stares from people as I walked past. I heard a few wolf whistles but I ignored them as I sat down next to Ash. His tanned face and white teeth beaming at me. He entwined his fingers into mine and asked how I was. I said I was very well and got a similar answer as I returned the question. I looked up to see people still starring at me, I blushed and looked away. His grip tightened and a spark ran up my spine.

"Megan I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me this tomorrow after school I will drop you back at your house afterwards." He said quickly looking a bit shy.

"Sure that would be great! I'm already looking forward to it." I smiled and I could see his face light up.

"Great!" he said looking excited. Just then the bell went and we got up.

"What lesson do you have right now." I asked

"Music, you?" He answered

"Same." I replied looking amused

"Well then I think as a gentleman and you being new I think I should escort you to our lesson." He said putting his hand in mine so that we were holding hands. As we walked into the Music class everyone started starring again. I turned to Ash and asked him why everyone was staring. He didn't have time to answer, as Kay the head girl walked in, suddenly Ash let go of my hand. Kay walked up to him.

"Hey babe, how are you today? She asked, I looked confused and starred at Kay then Ash.

"Kay, I think I made it clear that it was over between us." He replied icily

Just then the teacher walked in, he glanced up and smiled at me.

"Right class today we will be going through solos for the big performance at the end of term." He said

I looked round the room, everyone smiled and replied saying yes.

"Good, Megan you will do your solo tomorrow as you have time to rehearse. If you want to be in the showcase?" He said

Before I could answer, Ash said "Don't worry Sir she has an amazing voice of course she will be in the showcase this term." I glared at him but the teacher had moved on. After the lesson I walked to the car park to wait for Emily and Stephanie to arrive. I heard someone running behind me and Ash put his arm round my back and started walking with me. As we got to the car park I could see my two best friends waiting under the trees. I screamed when I saw them and tried to walk quickly in my heels to give them a hug, they looked round and saw me and rushed over giving each other a big hug. Ash walked over and said Hi and I introduced him.

"Guys this is Ash, a new friend a.k.a. the person who knocked me over at the airport." I said

"Oh he is the gorgeous man who swept you off your feet." They teased, which made me blush.

I heard a car and saw dad arrive we got I saying goodbye to Ash and my dad drove off. He asked how my day was and how the flight was to my friends. He took us to the make-up and accessories shop and gave us each $100 each o spend on one stuff. We went crazy buying make-up, dip dye, nail art, hair accessories and other stuff. We then went home and ran upstairs to my room where we spread everything out and went through it.

As the night went on we ate Pizza, dressed up I n new clothes and wore different make-up and accessories. Mum was the funniest who tried to pose and strut around in her high heels like a model. Afterwards we all had hot chocolate and chocolate mouse with ice cream then it was time for bed. I took Emily's and Stephanie's luggage and showed them the two rooms next to mine which were slightly similar to the layout of my room. I went back to my room and sunk into my bed, I was so tired that I was asleep as soon as I hit the pillow.
